Hey lovelies check out my review of Azealia Banks' hot new album Broke With Expensive Tastes for The Knowledge, and find out why its one of my top albums of 2014!
Narcissus
A short bit of verse I wrote:
Narcissus:
Narcissus leant too far, looked too deep, dove head first into the mirror river and fell a while through the quicksilver creek. Serenading the emerald plants and fish bubbles erupted from his angelic visage, poured upwards and towards a soft light, that grew ever fainter as he descended and slowly lost sight of the night sky.

Morning Song
Another of my poems.
Morning Song By CR Davies As you drift from me, into the stream of those I bathed within, to rise again washed clean of sin. The many who fell limp limbed, catching hot breath, the pulse beneath their flesh beating for more yet. To dance and kiss and sing till gentle dawn pulled our tired bodies in, curled tight into one another. Smothering pale skin in slowly combusting kisses, which gently burn out in the still spring chilled air. Where we are held in blissful stasis. Long days are gone, and there is only the song of your breathe in the morning air.

Indigo Moon by CR Davies
Wrote a quick new poem as it's been a while.
Indigo Moon:
Caught up in moments, trapped by years, stuck within tides of muddy gummy time. Necrotic hands sought out the bright stars that spin so prettily above a sleepless night.
Those shrieking blurs of sonic-kinetic energy, laid flat on backs, pinkies touched to thumbs, grin wickedly as they claw at the indigo moon, spilling rotten sinews from their gutted fronts.
Blind black eyes encrusted with amber sand, now useless, reflected that beatific sky once. Blank as sunrise fractures and breaks the dark, the beasts sink into quick sand beds of silence.

Hunx and His Punx - You Don't Like Rock n' Roll
Hunx and Punx delivering a track about the true tragedy of dating someone who doesn't like rock n' roll.
Dum Dum Girls - He Gets Me High
Amazing track, just dicsovered this band but every track so far has been awesome. That sixties reverb and those wavered guitar riffs are just nom. Plus the lead singer has a very similar voice to Kate Jackson (of The Long Blondes fame) which is never a bad thing.
Safety Not Guaranteed (2012)
Just watched this movie and it was amaze-balls. I cried, I laughed, I questioned love and temporal physics.
One of my all time favourite tracks from mod super group The Last Shadow Puppets <3
The Last Shadow Puppets - My Mistakes Were Made For You
About as subtle as an earthquake, I know, My mistakes were made for you. And in the backroom of the bad dream, she came, And whisked me away, enthused. And it's as solid as a rock rolling down a hill, The fact is that it probably will hit something, On the hazardous terrain. And we're just following the flock, Around and in-between, Before we're smashed to smithereens Like they were, then we scramble from the blame And it's the fame that put words in her mouth, She couldn't help, but spit them out. Innocence and arrogance entwined, In the filthiest of minds. She was bitten on her birthday, And now a face in the crowd, she's not. And I suspected now forever the shape She came to escape, is forgot. And it's a lot to ask her not to sting. And give her less than everything; Around your crooked conscious she will wind. And we're just following the flock, Around and in-between, Before we're smashed to smithereens Like they were, and we scrambled from the blame. And it's the fame that put words in her mouth, She couldn't help but spit them out Around your crooked conscious she will wind. And it's a lot to ask her not to sting, And give her less than everything Innocence and arrogance entwined.
