The first place I remember seeing Sebastian Stan on a screen was as Jefferson aka The Mad Hatter on Once Upon a Time.

His portrayal was truly wonderful. Poor Jefferson you felt both heartbroken for him and simultaneously wanted Emma to kick his ass. Sort of the same as Bucky in Winter Soldier I guess (wanting Cap to beat him but feeling bad for Bucky not even knowing his own name).

But seriously this comparison of Jefferson and Bucky is very accurate.
