Here in the midst of a journey I’d set off on, though there’s still a long way to go
But once I’ve reached the end, will I still be able to remain smiling?
The ideal person I had dreamed of being as a child, is a little different to who I’ve become now
Everyone one walks down their own paths, so go with pride so that we might one day meet again
There’ll be many uncertainties, and you might lose your way but
No one knows how right or wrong each path may be
Here’s the midst of the journey I’d begun, down a path that I’ve chosen myself
I wonder how many times I’ll fall before I reach the end
From the middle of a journey I’ve always been on, as far as the end might yet be
When I reach, will I be able to remain smiling?
On each of our chosen paths we might go down detours or even grind to a halt
But I don’t want the feelings I’d set off with to ever change
The first step might seem so scary
But no one knows what sort of sights might be ahead
Here in the midst of a journey I’d set off on, no matter how much longer the path might be
Once you’ve taken a step there’s no turning back
In the midst of a dream finally being realised, I still can’t see the goal
When I reach, will I be shining brighter than before?
I don’t mind being laughed at, because believe me
I’ll keep heading towards the light with my hands outstretched
In the midst of the journey I’ve been on, no matter how dark it be
Only by continuing down this road will you find the light
Here’s the midst of the journey I’d begun, a path that I’ve believed in all along
No matter how many times I might fall before reaching the end

Because when I reach the end, I’ll still be smiling
幼い私が夢に見てた 理想とは少しだけ 違う自分になったよ
みんなそれぞれの道を歩く 胸を張っていつでも また会えるように
一つずつ選んできた道は 遠回りしてみたり 立ち止まりもしたけど
歩き出した日に胸に秘めた その気持ちは今でも 変わらないように
