Today marks 10 years since I started making music, and I have some updates to share. I wish I had music to release today, but that'll have to wait for a little longer. For now, have this preview of something I'm working on!
Making music has hugely transformed my life. While my journey had its ups and downs, I think it was ultimately a positive experience, and I'm very grateful for everything good, including your support. Unfortunately for at least some of you, I don't want to continue pursuing music as I have been in the past 10 years. My plan is to put music on the back burner, and focus on something else.
Playing my favorite games (UNDERTALE, OneShot, Celeste, OMORI, etc) and being part of their communities also had a huge impact in my life. The kind of positive emotions I had while playing those games, and positive changes my life had for playing them, are the same things I wanna give to others. That was one of the reasons why I kept making music. But I'm realizing that might not be the best medium for me to do that. So I'm going to try making games!
In 2018, I started having interest in game development, and shortly started learning programming. Unfortunately, that didn't go far, as I kept having music and art projects to work on. In early April 2024, I had the idea to make an audio visualizer. I made a small program for that and it went well, despite having to learn almost everything from scratch. Eventually, that idea developed into one of an app that can save the visualizer as a video, and in July 5, 2024, I started Oscillody. Honestly, I didn't expect to enjoy programming as much as I did with it. I'm not great at math and logic, but working on my own app has been great. I'm currently working on the biggest, and hopefully last major release of Oscillody. Once that is out of the way, I want to focus solely on game development.
So what does this mean exactly for my music journey? Well, it's not exactly the end. My intention is to stop making as many solo music projects as I have been in the past 3 years, and mostly work on games. I want most of the music I release in the future to be part of my own games. I won't fully stop making music, I still find enjoyment in it and still have some solo music projects I wanna work on. It's just not my focus right now, so I'll be releasing significantly less. That's the plan, at least. If you enjoy the work I put out, I hope you stay around! I'm confident you'll find my future projects interesting! I currently have one solo music projects in the works, and I hope to release it soon. After that, I'll stop making new music for a while.
I have recently started developing a new version of Oscillody! Working on fixing bugs and changing small things first, and then I'll add major features! If all goes well, this new update will be much bigger than v2! Looking forward to it :3
To a specific person who will probably never see this: I hope you'll be okay. I know how it is to have those problems, it sucks... You seem like a lovely and smart person. I wish I could help.
Posting daily art for the first time here without context, but I've made a drawing every day for a year, and yesterday was day 365 (I'm late finishing this, but that was the case with many other drawings). I'm only posting this now to match Gwen's posts lol.
I've posted the drawings every day on Twitter, and now that I'm done, I'll post my favorite ones here + other places, along with a link to a folder with every drawing I've made!

I had tried this with music before, and I really didn't last long, but I gave it a try, especially because I needed to practice art more. After finishing it last month, and looking back, I think it was a very cool challenge, and it improved my skills. But the best part was doing it alongside Gwen :3 At a couple of times, the deadline stressed me a bit, but it was all worth it.
