my problem is if i enjoy something enough i will be nitpicking. i Will have things to say about where and how it failed. out of nothing but love straight from my heart. unfortunately this often makes me indistinguishable from a hater who has never experienced joy or kindness. such is the amateur critic's burden.

it bothers me when someone brings up misogyny in shounen anime and people shrug it off with "its designed for teenage boys, what can you expect." like well. idk i think its actually pretty important that shows for teenage boys are normal about women. i mean i think all media should be normal about women but teenagers are impressionable i think we could put a little bit of feminism in the teenage boy shows. it might do some good. you never know.

in order to truly get rid of misogyny in fandoms we need to treat girl characters the same way we treat guy characters. Say you’d hit her with your car. Say you want to see her crying and trying and failing to keep her emotions hidden. Say you want her to get worse. Say you want to chew on her like a squeaky toy. For feminism
