and the silliest thing in my life right now is that, apparently, i'm tall??? i've always thought i was average height cause a lot of the people around me growing up (my friends, family, etc) were taller than me.
i'm 1,74m (how much is that in feet? 5'7? Is that "tall"?) which, you know, is a problem cause i guess i need to find a giant girlfriend now so i can finally be the shorter one in the relationship. :'(

I don't know if what is being said is that there is a possibility of reaching a ceasefire deal or not, but I am sure of one thing, which is that Israel does not want to end the war, but rather wants to end the Gaza Strip (for your information, it is not only Israel that wants this, but America also wants this, as it supports Israel with money, weapons, and everything to fight a defenseless people).

I have some pretty cool news today.
The Poll results: I think the results were pretty clear since day one, hahaha! So I'm already working on a slightly NSFW Matt POV (I'm having a lot of fun with it XD), and I'll post it by Wednesday (23).

The reason the PACBI BDS statement on no other land is especially important is because of its production company that has been boycotted for years before the movie was even made. It's true the language and the ideas surrounding the film are iffy at best, equating the oppressed and oppressor in ways that further the narrative of genocide, but the most relevant issue is that NOL accepted money from a group called "Close Up", which is explicitly an Israeli project that aims to normalize apartheid and occupation.
It's important to remember that part of the reason we even talk about these things is because Palestinians are so thoroughly disenfranchised to the point where we are expected to thank people for recognizing our humanity. Honestly, if you are not Palestinian and you consider yourself a genuine ally, you should sit this discussion out. Many, many Palestinians couch our language and demands when speaking to people about anything related to Palestine so you having a Palestinian friend who thinks BDS is stupid for doing this should realize that you definitely do not have the full context of the discussion and don't understand the nuances of how this affects us. The number of nonPalestinians who have commented on this to let people know they disagree (at best) with BDS is far too high. Some have even gone as far as to assert that BDS is racist against israelis (aka, "the Palestinians are doing reverse racism!"). If you want to read about "Close Up," you can find a written piece by BDS from 2019, following a letter signed by hundreds (!!!) of filmmakers insisting on denouncing the org.

people treat bisan, motaz and plestia like they're influencers instead of, you know, people who have endured/are enduring war crimes beyond imagining and ethnic cleansing. what I mean is, they never asked to be spokesperson for their people's humanity, or planned to be so visible. they're just people, ordinary people who can never go home, who are surviving colonial violence. what they're doing and what they have done defies any term of admiration or respect I could apply. Ask yourself, what will you do if something happens to Bisan? If she is killed or goes dark or inshallah she escapes? Everyday I see posts like, "if Bisan dies, I'll riot!" riot NOW. speak up, now! I am begging people to stop hingeing their faith in the free Palestine movement and the movement to end the Zionist occupation on individuals. I love Bisan and Motaz and Plestia with all my heart and pray for them every day, but I'm begging people not to reframe Palestinian liberation through individualism. Support BDS, donate to UNRWA or the Red Crescent Society, listen to Palestinians across Palestine and the diaspora. Your belief in the freedom of Indigenous peoples has to transcend the ones most visible and palatable to you.
