In celebration of International Womens Day, here are the women who inspire me every day 🖤🤍

For the past 6 years, I have been battling with self-harm. I have not gone a week without harming myself in any way. About two weeks ago I turned on Taylor’s 1989 album and listened to Clean. The bridge came on and I realised that one day I wanted to be able to sing the bridge and really relate to it. So I downloaded an app called ’I am sober’ which basically keeps track of how long you have been sober for and I decided to start my journey of finally being clean. My ultimate goal is to be 10 months sober just like Taylor says in the bridge I know it's a long time but I know I can do it. Like I said before, I wasn't able to go a week without harming myself in any way but today marks my two weeks and five days of being 100% clean!!!! I am so proud of myself and I wouldn't have been able to do it without Tays music so I just wanted to thank her for giving me the inspiration to do this and for helping me carry it out.

I love how at the end of All Too Well, at the tiny desk concert, Taylor sang ”You were there you remember it all too well” instead of ”I was there I remember it all too well” because it reminds me of the time she was on Ellen and said that one day she will meet a guy that will make her forget her ex and she finally did
