It’s been silent around here for a while, sorry!

When we were first talking about character development, we decided that doing a series of 4koma (four panel joke comics) would be a good way to help figure out how to write the characters.

Here’s a comic featuring the main character and Camellia. The character designs are still pretty fluid.

This is obviously a really rough concept! Consider the ham hands an ode to Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, another game about the bonds of friendship.

A very quick (<an hour) prototype for a possible ‘camera position’. We were talking about a possible 2.5d sort of thing, and I was curious about doing that in a pure 2d environment.

Is it more efficient than just doing it in 3d? Not necessarily, but it’s good to test out!

Check out this cool concept for a miniboss! Monster design is definitely one of our main focuses for the game, we want to ensure that there is a lot of variety in monster types and how you can fight them.

Right now we’re primarily focusing on story and designing the game map, so there may be a bit of a lull in content until we start working on more finalized concept art for the maps and various monsters.

Though for now, sorry for more character concepts! These are probably going to be some of the final sketches before we get into something more finalized. A prototype/proof of concept for movement in the game. Art was not a focus here, so the sprite set from Legend of Zelda was used as a placeholder.

This shows a possible gameplay style, where you control the player character with the keyboard and use the mouse to move your minion.
