Okay, now that I've caught up, a bit more information. This will be a limited screening of a recap movie before the long awaited episode 24.5 airs.

It will air on the 28th February 2025, this is before the blu-ray box releases so it's incentive for fans to get both (aniplex wants your money lol).

Now, the INTERESTING part:

Only the main trio is going to appear and have new voiced lines, just like in the script for 24.5

I don't see a specific writer listing aside Gen Urobuchi being credited for the story draft, that might just be a credit listing determined by old contracts.

"And now, around nine months have passed since the end of the war between Earth and Mars. Inaho meets Slaine again at the detention facility."

But Asseylum is shown with a rather dramatic style change, I don't think this could happen in only nine months...could we get a 10 years later extra clip? Hmmm Who is that on the communication screen with her?

I'm surprised to see so many posts and comments from A/Z fans hoping that the upcoming Episode 24.5 would show Slaine being free and happy, because that doesn't happen in Episode 24.5 of A/Z. Was Episode 24.5 not common knowledge within the fandom?

Anyway, I'm hoping this content is animated, but I also expect it to just be an audio drama. But if it can be animated, I also want to hope for an animated version of the Magical Girl Seylum tracks!

“Aldnoah.Zero” The Blu-ray Bundles New Episode

The Aldnoah.Zero anime series revealed a new episode during the Aniplex Online Fest 2024 event. Subtitled "Ame no Danshou - The Penultimate Truth" (Fragment of Rain - The Penultimate Truth), the episode will be part of the Blu-ray Disc Box that will be available for purchase starting on March 26, 2025.
