Words to replace said, except this actually helps
I got pretty fed up with looking for words to replace said because they weren’t sorted in a way I could easily use/find them for the right time. So I did some myself.

Hug
If you hug me for a second, I’ll laugh along.
But if you hug me and stay like that for a while, I might start crying.
Your ‘friends’ just slammed the door on you, leaving you in the room with the crazed axe murderer. “Damn, that’s a dick move. Want to get revenge?” The murderer offers you their hand.
“PLEASE DON’T LEAVE ME BEHIND!” I screamed, watching desperately as my friends backs moved further away without pausing.
My boyfriend Allen, my twin sister Julie… The two people in this world that should care about me the most… heard my cries for help and didn’t hesitate to leave me behind.
Allen turned back to look at me, his face pale with fright. A flame of hope sprung up within me, warming my heart that had chilled at their callous abandonment. He stared at me silently, his hand gripping the metal door of the underground tunnel so tightly his knuckles were white.
I was moments away from escaping with them. All he had to do was hold the door.
“Allen.” The name came out like a sob, half with relief, half still filled with the terror of being locked down here with the monster. “Thank y…”
My words trailed off as I saw him smile, the expression only lasting a fraction of a second. A slender hand gripped his shoulder, from behind, a hand I recognized, as it still had the silver bracelet I had gotten her for our birthday.
Julie?
She hugged him from behind, resting her head on his shoulder.
“What…?”
I was only a few feet away when I heard her soft voice speak up.
“It’s for the best, Allen.”
The door started to close.
“NO!” I pushed forward, my breath coming out as a desperate gasp.“DON’T…!”
Allen’s eyes met my own, and my blood chilled as I realized…
There was no guilt in them. Only relief.
SLAM!
The door slammed closed in my face. I ran into it, unable to slow my momentum as I had raced forward to escape. I let out a grunt of pain at the impact falling to the ground staring at the barrier between me and freedom.
Click.
I heard the door lock in front of me, the quiet sound extinguishing my last hope.
And then, in the silence, I heard a new sound:
Tap. Tap.
Footsteps. Steady and unrushed, moving closer with each second.
He was coming.
They had trapped me here, with the monster.
“I knew we should have stayed home.” I whispered, ignoring the tears blurring my vision. I leaned my head forward, resting my forehead against the cool metal of the door. “I knew it…”
The footsteps were growing louder. I shivered with fear.
This was supposed to be a vacation. It was supposed to be a fun, leisurely trip with those I loved.
The same people who had left me behind.
I stared down at the ground, and soon a pair of enormous black boots covered in dark mud entered my vision.
“…” I closed my eyes, feeling tired. I had nowhere to run, and my only exit had been blocked.
There was a long silence, causing my nerves to stretch thin. When a voice finally broke the quiet atmosphere, I jumped, surprised by the low, comforting tone.
“Damn, that’s a dick move.”

He eyed the bottle at the shore. The waves were teasing it to come with them. Having no visitors coming in the island made him bored. He yawned. Eventually, the bottle was pulled away. His eyes were still following it. Then he had to crane his neck up. His lazy eyes were filled with fear. A huge shadow loomed over him. Yes, his eyes are still locked on the washed off bottle. It's just... the sea.
He started running away. The shadow chased him. He has to warn the others. Before it's too late. Plot twist: He’s unaware he’s a seer and the tsunami he had witnessed was his first time glimpsing the future

Prince charming was the murderer after all
"Check the perimeter! There might be more bombs than this!" Her commanding tone pushed her partner running. Then she approached to a shivering figure. "I'll clean your shit. So just do your part" She reassured her pet that was currently doing it's business.
"If it makes you happy, that wasn't the only thing I've thought of," I suggested.
"If it's worse than being an errand boy as your first impression of me then I'm not listening," he sighed.
"Do you remember what you were wearing?" I started nursing my drink.
"Hm? It was just my swimming shorts...." he grinned. "Don't tell me, you had perverted thoughts of me ever since?"
"Not exactly." I leaned towards him.
"Eh?" He seemed surprised. He wasn't expecting me to respond that way, huh?
"Well… it's just that… your skin seems… pure. Untouchable. Unmarked." I looked up to him. He flushed. My voice lowered as I continued.
"Your body was white as sheet that it needed something over it." We were mere inches away from each other.
"I wanted to decorate your fair skin with bruises and hickeys."
"I'm so cold. I need socks."
"They're in the closet. You have to get out from the blanket."
"Okay."
"Wait."
I froze on my spot. Through the thin white blanket, I can see the nightlight glow it's indigo color. Then a huge shadow ambled with an eerie sound.
"Something is out there."
Yellow and pink flowers. Lined at the handle of the stairs. Pinned at the hair of the bridesmaids. Bloomed at the hands of the bride.
The scene before me was mesmerizing. The urge to take up my camera and capture the moment itched my fingertips.
Especially how they were climbing up the stairs with their faces filled with fear and horror.
"There you go again... Looking so gloomy."
I let my head down and bit my lip.
"Hey... Look at me." He cupped my cheeks and raised my head.
"Forget about him... Please"
"You should have seen their faces! It was hilarious!", I laughed.
"I didn't see their faces."
"Cuz you were too busy walking in a straight line?"
"No" His stern statement turned all of my attention to him. He continued,
"It's because I was busy having fun with you."
Villain was singing in the hallway with bodies sprawled across the floor. He picked up one by the hair.
"Oh? You're still alive even after the impact?"
"Yeah. Your singing was so terrible that the grim reaper dropped me to cover his ears."
His hand was over hers.
This would have been romantic only if he wasn't a villain and she wasn't a cop. Not to mention, she is gripping the gun aimed below her chin.
"Just pull the trigger."
"No..."
"Hmm why? Scared that chunks of your brain will be all over the room?"
"No. My comrades fought till the end. Their deaths will be in vain if I take my life away."
"Look me in the eye."
"No", he shifted away.
"Why?"
"It's because the light is too bright. You know how gleaming the reflected sun light from the ocean is at this angle?"
Had I not been staring at him, I would have missed the pink shade on his ears.
Why is this happening?
Black and White checkered tile floor. Dark green leather sofas. Retro vintage framed posters. Yet I can only see his calm eyes and tempting lips.
Funky music from the jukebox. Loud ping from the kitchen bell. Blended murmurs from the diner customers. Yet I can only hear my rapid heartbeat and troubled breathing.
