RULES

What is it?

A prompt bingo open to all Alex Rider writers and creators. Please read the rules below before signing up via the Google form. If you have any questions that aren’t answered by the info in this post, please get in touch with me via email or send an ask! 

How to sign up?

Rules

You must be 18+ to participate.

This event runs from 1 June until 30 November 2026.

You can request a card at any time during that period.

All ships and ratings are allowed.

Fic, art, moodboards, playlists, graphics, fanvids and gifsets are all accepted as long as they are posted to our collection on AO3 in accordance with AO3’s rules.

Each card is a 3x3 square (8 prompts plus a free space).

You can request a NSFW card which only includes smutty prompts, a SFW card without smut, or a MIXED card which includes both.

You can write a multi-chapter fic with one prompt per chapter, and therefore multiple prompts across the whole story.

Please specify in each chapter/fic what prompt you are filling as this is what we will use to verify your card is accurate at the end of the challenge.

One prompt only per chapter or per one-shot!

You can request to replace squares on your card, and you can request a completely new card.

You can combine your AR Bingo fills with other events. If it has to be anonymous during the event, you can claim it for the bingo after anonymity is lifted.

If you have completed one card, you can get another one.

At the end of the event, you can apply for a badge to celebrate your level of achievement. For details see below.

No kink or ship shaming of any kind will be tolerated during this event. The collection is being moderated.

Badges and Achievements

Creation is its own reward, but not the only one! At the end of the event you will get a badge you can share on your socials for:

Participant (1-2 fills)

Spy (3 or more fills with no Bingo or Blackout)

Bingo Winner (3 fills in a row, any direction)

Blackout (all squares filled)

To be eligible:

Mark each prompt you fill off on your card as you complete it.

Upload each of your prompt fills to the collection as you go.

At the end of the event, send me a pic of your card with your fills marked off. I will double-check against the works you have uploaded. Badges will be sent out in December once I've done the double-check.

Bingo 2025 Wrap-up

Thanks everyone who participated in the bingo! I've seen some amazing fics and art and I'm so happy people were inspired by their prompts. The bingo is over for 2025, but just a few final wrap-up announcements:

The bingo collection on AO3 will stay open for people who want to make a late submission based on their prompts. So if you had an idea you were working on but didn't manage to finish, you can still post it!

I'll be creating and sending out (digital) badges this weekend for people who sent me their bingo cards. If you managed at least one prompt fill and also want to get a badge, please send me (preferably through email) your card with all the filled prompts marked so I can check them.

That should be all for now, thanks again for everyone's contributions to the event! I hope to see you all again for the next event! :D

The Affair at the Wedding (Yalex, E, 4.0k)

It’s just Alex’s luck that the next time he sees Yassen after Invisible Sword, he ends up hurt, stuck in a storage cupboard with Yassen, and fighting the effects of a rather potent aphrodisiac.

Chapter 1: Alex

He has the sudden urge to reach out and stroke Yassen’s face, touching the dark stubble with his fingertips. He wonders what it would feel like scraping against his own smooth cheeks, if Yassen’s lips would be soft in contrast if Alex leaned in to kiss him, dropping the torch and pulling Yassen closer until they were pressed together and Yassen would be able to tell exactly how much Alex wants him and—     Well, Alex reflects with a strangely detached feeling of panic, at least he’ll be able to tell Mrs Jones that the drug works.

Last Few Days

We're in the final stretch of the Bingo for this year! The bingo will officially close at the end of Saturday 3rd January, anywhere on earth.

Just a few final reminders:

Make sure your fics/art are posted to the ao3 collection by the end of the bingo period if you want them to count for the bingo!

The collection will stay open for late submissions after the 3rd of January, but they won't count towards your bingo anymore.

You can send me your card with the squares crossed/ticked off if you want a badge :D

For people who participated in fandom exchanges like @spyfestafterdark and want to use their fic as a prompt fill, make sure you add it to the bingo collection too, and add the prompt in the summary/notes.
