What have you read so far in May? 🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿 I'm a little behind on my May ARCs as both Windfall and The One Memory of Flora Banks have already been released! So happy belated book birthday to them 🎉 TFITM comes out May 16th though and according to Goodreads I'm 80% finished with it and it has been good!!! Do you like mythology/books that focus on it? 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 #currentlyreading Flame in the Mist by Renée Ahdieh. So far I'm feeling like the pace is a little slow, but I have been reading it in spurts of about 15 pages here and there. I love the writing style though, I feel like I'm in Japan! I've got a formal English Country dancing ball thing tonight, should be fun! I'm about an hour away from leaving. Although it's like a high school event they do not bar college students from attending, yay! What's something you hate more than cliffhangers? ❣❣❣❣❣❣❣ While this book didn't exactly end on a cliffhanger it definitely left me wanting more! This is a mystery book and while the "whodunnit" is resolved by the end of the book there is still a lot of tension left hanging about. So since I forgot that this book was part of a series I was left pretty disappointed yesterday when I finished it and it felt like it had ended abruptly will lots of the story still to be told. So I've requested the next book in the series so I can read it ASAP. Overall though, I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would and probably would give it 3.5-4 stars! What are your opinions on TR&TD? 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 I finished The Rose and the Dagger yesterday and I'm still feeling all the emotions and a book hangover because of it! I don't know how wise it is to still be trying to read as final exams are next week...there's less homework so it feels like I have more time but I definitely should be studying. BUT THIS BOOK WAS SO GOOD! I need to own it (this was a library copy) and I need to meet Reneé Ahdieh again so she can sign it. 😍 I definitely love the romance, Shazi and Khalid, and the other characters, but the best thing to me is the writing style and world-building because both are beautiful.
