Hugo couldn’t help but chuckle. “I have to give you some advice. You never help Peeves. if he’s ever within your reach you run for you life.” he grinned. “Are you okay, though? How long were you stuck?” 

Alice laughed, rolling her eyes at herself for having been so naive. “You learn by making mistakes I suppose and fifteen minutes more or less.” She said after trying to figure out what time it could be. “I suppose this isn’t a popular corridor at this time of day, I’m glad you walked by though. Better you than... others.”

Amycus snorted, offering a curt nod to Alice to acknowledge her thanks. “How’d you end up here when all your stuff is in the class room?” he asked, looking between her and the broom cupboard. “I mean, I assume you didn’t lock yourself in there, but you also couldn’t manage to keep your wand on you.”

“You are really trying to make me sound incompetent are you?” Alice wondered after he question her reason for walking around without her wand. “I was moving my stuff to another classroom. I was on my second trip when Peeves lured me here and locked me.” She explained with a slight shrug. “I just can’t win against him.”

“Sounds good to me,” Gideon grinned, reaching out to steady the other as she stumbled through the door. “No problem. What’d you do to piss off Peeves?”

“Just walked by.” Alice said with a sigh, which quickly turned into a smile as she really thought about it. “He seems to dislike me most of time, or maybe I’m too naive when it comes to him.”

This would’ve been to the type of thing that made him feel something. But it just was no fun, he couldn’t feel it anymore. So he just sighed, unlocking the door shortly after. “You better be honest about the potions.” If he needed anything she could offer, it was probably that. Potions had never been his strongest subject, often relying on others to produce some for him.

Alice let out a sigh of relief as she heard the door unlock, finally coming out to see who had been nice to open the door for her. “Why wouldn’t I be? I’m a healing major, potions are part of my life.” She explained. “Thanks by the way, now tell me what kind of potions do you need?”

“Please, I’d be the one giving you a dress for a ball.” she grinned. “And i’d be making my own. There’s only one person i’d let design for me and that’s Claire. But we’re not going to tell her that because then she’ll insist I model.” Safiye chuckled. “But yes, Alice dear. Ruining you is my ultimate goal.” she smiled. “The Three Broomsticks sound good to you?”

“It’s good that you two are the people to go for fashion.” She mused. “I could never come up with that would look and creative at the same time. She smiled to herself as she put her stuff away and got up. “No time to waste then, let’s get this show on the road.”

“you’re lucky.” he said. “my parents had told me they weren’t going to but i guess they decided to change their minds.” he said. “no no. i’m not getting married yet. safiye and i hardly speak. we’re not ready for marriage.”

“Thanks.” Alice said though she had never given much though to her luck in regards to choosing who to marry. “Wait, Safiye? Wow I... I didn’t know.” She said with a slight nod.. “But not everything is inevitable, things could change.”

Amycus was walking down the halls when he heard someone call out. Normally, he wouldn’t have bothered stopping, but hearing someone ask for help unlocking a door was bordering on ridiculous. “Alohomora,” he muttered lazily, wand movements bordering on sloppy. “Forget that you’re a witch or something?” he asked, tilting his head to the side. “Thought most of us mastered the unlocking charm by now.”

“Thanks.” She said once she was finally able to open the door. “I didn’t forget, but thank you for the reminder. I left my wand in the classroom with all my other stuff.” Alice explained. “I’m really not as thick and I may look from being stuck in a broom cupboard.”

Gideon had been strolling the halls when he heard a voice coming from a broom closet. Arching an eyebrow, the boy made his way over. “Depends, what’s in it for me?” He teased, but brought out his wand and attempted to unlock the door. “That work?”

“Drinks. I’ll buy you drink.” She said without putting much thought into it as she continued to try the handle. When it finally budged she almost tripped but managed to keep herself steady. “Thank you. I seriously owe you one.”

ted had just been given permission to leave the hospital wing. finally. it felt like he had been in there forever. he hated laying down for such a long amount of time and feeling like he was useless. on the plus side though he had decided to officially support the order and he was healing at a good pace. it felt nice. he heard alice and stopped, turning to face the door before pulling his wand out. “alohomora.” he said, before turning the handle and opening the door. “who did that to you?” 

“If I say his name he may just come back around and lock me back in there.” She said far too quick. “Peeves, though, peeves did it. Also, thank you, life saver.” Alice managed to finally slow down once she was done thanking him and let go of a deep sigh. “I didn’t realize I don’t like confined spaces.”

Hugo could hear muffled voices and he stopped in his tracks to look around in confusion, only to realize it was coming from a broom cupboard. He jogged over quickly and opened the door, a grin on his face as he spotted Alice. “Hey, are you okay? What happened?” 

Alice had never been more relieved to see Hugo. Ever. “Peeves,” she explained, pushing her hair out of her face. “I was taking some things to the potions classroom when he called me saying someone was stuck and needed help. I didn’t realize that person would be me.”

Evan hadn’t seen Peeves lock the girl in the broom closet, however, he just happened to walk by when she started calling for help. And while he was a prefect and probably should unlock her, he was in the mood for playing. “And what do you offer if I help you?”

“Depends on who you are.” Alice said, not having recognized the voice right away. She didn’t have much to give in return but if he didn’t help she would have to rely on screaming. “I’ve got potions and food, And I don’t know, what do you want?”

“The castle’s full of pumpkins, there’s a pumpkin patch, yet you still brought your own pumpkin stuff from home.” Alex repeated, a little dumbfounded, yet continued to snack on the seeds. “That’s a new level of wow, don’t you think?”

“I suppose you could say they are a special recipe, from Spain.” Alice didn’t mind explaining even if did in fact sound like she had a mild of obsession with the fruit. “Wow, yes, but a good wow.”

“Damn it, Peeves!” It was no secret that the poltergeist had a thing for pranking Alice, but seeing as it had been while, she thought that perhaps he had finally grown bored of her. Wrong, not even a day back and he had already locked her in a broom closet. “Hello? Could you- could you unlock the door?”

it certainly was a cold january afternoon. a lush layer of snow rested across the grounds of hogwarts and covered the surrounding mountains and foothills. it may have made for glum conditions, had the sky above not been clear and the sun not shining brilliantly. the air was crisp and cutting. still, it hadn’t prevented emrys from stripping down to his pants and running into the lapping waters of the black lake. he plunged himself down into its depths in order to submerge himself. he wasn’t in long but by the time he was back on land, he seemed to have an audience. “in no need of your judgement, deary, i know well enough how cold it is. you look freezing.”

Alice loved her major, she really did. That’s what she kept telling herself as she trekked over to the lake to gather some roots needed for a healing potion. She would have managed to finish her task quicker too had it not been for the image that appeared before her eyes. “Are you mad or are you showing off your cold resistance?” She wondered, unable to keep herself from judging. “Ho- how did you manage that? How are you still alive?”

Safiye couldn’t help but laugh. “Yes. We can go with fairy godmother, Alice. I like that. Alice the fairy godmother for Safiye.” she grinned. “I won’t ask but now this means I owe you a night out.”

“Yes, just don’t ask me to give you a dress for a ball.” Alice said with a chuckle. “Ms. Tekin, are you really trying to ruin me so early in the semester?” She mused, faking shock. “Is so I’m actually all game, didn’t get to go out much over the holidays.”
