HI! I LOVE YOUR ART! I’d love to hear more about your Naruto OC Kohaku, anything and everything you want to say, she looks super cool!!
Well, I think I can describe it a little, in general terms, so as not to engage in graphomania (probably 🥴)
(I'm glad someone is interested in her. ^^)
Since her birth, Kohaku lived in Konoha, on the outskirts of the village, with her clan and father. Her clan was known for its skilled genjutsu and illusion techniques, often employed in close proximity to enemy units.
she's about 6-7 years old here
In terms of abilities, she was almost catching up with Hatake, her then-friend, but she was still inferior in some aspects. She was raised by her father until the age of 14, as her mother died when she was only 3 years old. After her father's death at the hands of Kurama, Ito would have been left on her own if it hadn't been for Hiruzen (yes, the old man had his hands in it). Ito had an uncle on her father's side, but he was more jealous of his older brother's success and, out of deep resentment, refused to help his niece. Since Hikaru (Kohaku's father) was the head of the clan, Takeo, her uncle, saw this as an opportunity to take his place.
Hikaru on the left, little Kohaku on the right
Since her father's death, Kohaku had changed from a joyful, sunny, and almost naive child to a cold, distant, and barely trusting teenager. It was difficult to say whether it was the death of her family member that broke her or the circumstances themselves, as it was during a war where Kakashi had also lost people he cared about. These events had a significant impact on both of them. (if I remember the canon correctly 🤔)
In a couple of years, by the age of 16, she became a Jonin, and later, in record time, at the age of 17, she became a member of the ANBU squad, first as a rookie, and then, by the age of 18, as the commander of the reconnaissance squad. Throughout this time, she worked too hard, using elemental techniques that did not synergize with each other, such as water and fire. Of course, she used them separately from each other, pairing them with illusions. However, it was Suiton who excelled in the elements. In addition, in addition to clan and elemental techniques, she developed hengen-no-jutsu and achieved such results that she was even somewhat proud of it - she could turn into a man. Not a mirage - the body was exactly male. Months of experiments were not in vain. This was useful in particularly important missions, where it was necessary to penetrate into society, where there was the necessary information.
"Uh… Kohaku-taicho, maybe… after your shift, would you like to have some tea?…"
"..." /she froze/
"There's a new cafe in the center…" /nervous/
"Are you stupid?" /eyebrow twitching/
/stupid :(/
Of course, her youthful experiments with her body, with the feeling of something else inside her (spoiler alert: it turned out to be a dormant raiton, a lost clan feature), did not go unpunished. For several months, she suffered from migraines, her vision deteriorated due to the pain, and the healers could only alleviate the symptoms but not address the underlying cause of her discomfort. Additionally, Kohaku's transformations had taken a toll on her reproductive health, leading to an early menopause.
As a result of health problems, mainly due to overwork, migraines, and some hallucinations when working without proper rest, at the age of 20, she confused her ward with an enemy who wanted to kill her, and acted preemptively. When she came to her senses, she realized that she had… killed a friend with her own hands.
the moment of realization (yes, this is the interface from the Magma website)
It was hard for her.
After careful consideration, she decided to leave her shinobi career behind. She handed over all her documents to the Third Hokage, the village's protector, and departed from Konoha with a travel bag and a small sketchbook.
For the next few years, she traveled around the world, working as a mercenary and a laborer. To keep her mind focused on the present, she often made small sketches of landscapes in her notebook: waterfalls, villages, hot springs… Everything that caught her eye was added to her small sketchbook.
It's been a couple of years since she left, and… Hiruzen declares her dead: there's no news or response from her, and sending ANBU members so far away could only worsen relations between countries… Kakashi took the news with a heavy heart. "Another friend has left my life…" he thought…
...Three years later, a familiar, athletic-looking woman appeared at the Konohagakure gate, looking more relaxed and thoughtful than she had at 25.
"Well, here I am at home…"
I was redrawing the meme XD
I've written a lot. I'll leave it like this for now, as I have a chapter of a fanfic, albeit a mediocre one, with her. Perhaps I'll translate it from Russian to English and add it to my blog wall, where it may find its audience. There may be errors in the text, please forgive me for them 🙏
