I'll be streaming every Monday and Tuesday at 10:30 AM CST when my schedule allows it.
If you want an unfiltered version of what I post on here while watching me play whatever game I happen to pick, then swing on by.
Check the tags or scroll through my page for an idea of some of the topics I'm down to yap about that you might be interested in. Or just ask me about something and I'll tell you my thoughts. I look forward to seeing you there.
Polytrix (or probably just Rumi) set to the song I Do Adore by Mindy Glendhill, where it's just then gushing about how much they love each other, how smitten with each other they are, how happy they feel when there with eachother.
Look, I will fully admit that the DnD ruleset has its flaws. I understand that the simplicity of its ideas can, at times, be to its detriment.
That being said, I have not managed to come away from a single Rolling With Difficulty oneshot that didn't leave me scratching my head in confusion trying to understand the rules.
Highschool AU Mira set to the song Water Fountain by Alec Benjamin as she mourns not being able to provide the safety and security that her girls needed, watching them turn to others who can, wishing she could have been enough for her girls.
Was thinking about Rumi set to the song Sorry by Halsey as she laments the love she never knew she had or could have with Mira and Zoey. She kept pushing them away when they asked to be let in, and when she finally opened herself up to them, it was too late, and they were gone. Maybe they'll find the love they were looking for in each other, but the chance for her to be a part of that love is gone, and she will never get it back.
Finally played The Old Peace and first of all, fuck Ballas, but second, and more importantly, I really need to deep dive Lullaby of the Manifold. There's something so profound about it that I just can't quite put my finger on yet, but I believe I could dig deeper if I could get the answer to two questions.
First, was Adis the one to create the song, or did he learn it from someone else, and if so, who?
Second, are the specific words of the song necessary for healing, or will any song do, and this was simply what the song's creator chose?
I think finding the answers to both of these questions will help me uncover the deeper theme of the song.
Bobby and Celine snarking back and forth with a level of vitriol you'd expect from mortal enemies and not regular coworkers, and it's genuinely a shock to literally everyone.
Bobby is the sweetest, nicest, kindest man in existence, always going above and beyond for the people he cares about. And here he is dropping insults that would reduce a man to dust if said to literally anyone else.
Celine is at all times a calm, business oriented professional, never letting the facade of emotionless expertise crack. Yet here she is, shouting every profanity in the book at a volume and intensity so loud it's a wonder half of Seoul can't hear them.
10 minutes later, they're both sipping tea, chatting like old friends, and smiling like they didn't have the entire office cowering in fear.
Alright MHA fandom, if you'll permit me, I'd like to go just a bit crazy. Don't worry, I'll be back to normal (relatively speaking) in a moment. But first, polyamory.
Post graduation Class 1-A is, in one way or another, together. Not in the sense that they're all one big 20 (19, fuck you Mineta) person polycule. More so that none of the relationships between any of the members of the class can be labeled as mere friendship. Some of it is romantic, some of it is sexual, some of it is queerplatonic, some of it is a mixture, but none of them would describe their relationship with any of their former classmates as just friendship.
And I want to make it clear that I am not trying to downplay the concept or importance of friendship. All of them are friends with each other, but each of their relationships holds something deeper as well. Again, be it romantic, sexual, both, or something a little different, all of them are together in a way that goes beyond being a group of friends who went to high school together.
Does any of this make sense? Probably not. But it was something I've been thinking about for a while now, and I had to get it off my chest.
Ok KPDH fandom, I got another one, but you're gonna need to stick with me on this cause it might be a bit confusing.
So, about a week post canon, Mira is angry. She's angry at herself for raising her weapon at Rumi. She's angry at Rumi for lying for so long. She's angry at Zoey for raising her own weapon, even though she did the same. She's angry at Celine for. . . well for a lot of reasons. And she wants, no, needs a way to vent that anger.
But who can she direct that anger towards? Certainly not her girls. Definitely not Bobby. Most assuredly not the fans. That leaves just one person. Celine. So she sets off for Celine’s place, intent on venting her anger.
Now, I have made it clear in multiple posts that I do not believe that Celine was in anywhere near a good headspace immediately following the events of the movie. Maybe she sends a quick text to verify that Rumi is alive but beyond that, she is spiraling. And then Mira shows up at her door.
Of course, Celine can tell that Mira is angry. And she fully expects and even accepts the verbal tirade that Mira is surely about to go on. She wants someone to yell at her, to tell her all the ways she fucked up, to give her something to latch onto so she can internalize it and work on improving herself. So she lets Mira in.
Only, Mira doesn't yell. She doesn't even speak. She walks into the house, looks Celine dead in the eyes, cocks back, and swings. And instantly, the mood shifts.
See, while Celine may be willing to be yelled at, she did not volunteer to be Mira’s personal punching bag. So she dodges, Mira throws another punch, and the fight is on.
At first, Celine is playing mostly defense. She won't be a punching bag, but she also doesn't want to actually fight Mira. Unfortunately, this only serves to make Mira even more angry, until Celine eventually relents and actually throws a punch, and she sees that anger crack just a bit, causing something in her head to click.
Mira needs this to be a fight. She needs this to be something she can actually feel. She needs Celine to actually hit back. So she does.
(It should be noted that during the defensive portion of the fight, Celine couldn't help but fall back into mentor mode, giving pointers to help Mira fight better, which only served to make Mira more angry)
Truthfully, I'm not sure how this gets resolved. I find the idea of Mira venting her anger by fighting to be interesting. I think the idea of Celine actually fighting back to be intriguing. And I think the idea of both of them leaving this encounter at least marginally better than they were when they entered it simply through the act of mutual violence to be incredibly entertaining.
I don't know. Maybe someone who's better at character study could do something with this.
Ok look, I think Warframe is a fantastic game. I also think the community (at least the parts I've interacted with) is one of the nicest I've come across in the gaming sphere.
That being said, I desperately need content creators to stop acting so high and mighty whenever Warframe outperforms some other live-service game. I swear, at least once a month, I'll see a new video about why Warframe is so amazing, and other games should start taking notes, and every time, it's just the same script on loop.
The game is good. I love that the devs are so good at listening to the community. But for the love of the Lotus can you all please shut the fuck up.
My favorite part of Warframe is thinking you hate Ballas enough only for something new to come up that makes you realize that you, in fact, do not hate Ballas enough.
Funniest type of KPDH fics are the ones that include the third Sunlight Sister in an AU where the Sunlight Sisters never existed. Because between there being no canon info on Thirdlight, and the character not being connected to the SLSs because they don't exist, she's basically an OC that the author stuck in and labeled with the name of a canon character. Except the name is also made up since, again, we know absolutely nothing about Thirdlight.
Polytrix sex pollen fics need to start including a scene where the girls go to Celine for an explanation (either before to figure out what to do or after to figure out what just happened), and during Celine’s explanation she mentions how she remembers "that time the Sunlight Sisters dealt with something similar" and Rumi just looks at her and goes "Celine, did you fuck my mom?"
