Four boys are sent to Narnia, not knowing they are going to meet. Kai's father dies in the war, and his mother dies in the bombings, trying to get her children safe in the shelter. Both him, and Nya, his younger sister, are sent to a distant relative's home. He requests silence to study, and the housekeeper requests order. Nya insists on going with Kai after he tells her what he's discovered what's inside the old shack in their backyard. He reluctantly accepts and tells her to be cautious because he isn't sure what else is there. As soon as they step in together, a skeleton army is there, searching for a lost map to the weapons of the Kings and Queens of Ninjago. The two do not hold very well against the army, and Nya gets taken by the skeletons, leaving Kai all alone, until Wu (Aslan) shows up to lead him to camp. "Come with me, child. If you want to save your sister, you'll need to be equipped with more than a tree branch." So Wu takes him to camp to start training him for combat situations. It's slow going at first, but eventually Kai starts getting it down. One night, Kai is preparing to go to sleep. He hears three people whispering and shushing each other outside his tent as they're all trying to take Kai out. All of a sudden, they're taking turns fighting Kai, who has brought the fight outside. When Wu hears the commotion, he comes outside and orders them to stop. "But, Teacher, he's invading the camp and you haven't even taken notice of it!" one of them said. Wu then says that he was brought here with the three of them. "You four are future Kings of Ninjago. Now that you are now all here, I have something to give you all." Wu returns with a chest that looked older than time itself. He pulls out chain armour with red and gold detailing on the silver chest plate, handing it to Kai. "You are Kai, future King of the volcanic islands and the deserts to the South. Your heart will guide you to wherever you need to go." Wu pulls out another armour set, with white and gold details on the chest plate, handing it to the boy with blond hair and eyes as blue and cold as ice. "You are Zane, future King of the ice lands to the far North and South, and gifted with a sixth sense." Zane nods and bows with respect as he takes the armour. Coming to the one clad in blue, Wu says, "You are Jay, future King of the stormy lands of the east, and you are a talented inventor." Jay's chest plate had blue and silver details. "I'm not ONLY an inventor! I can paint, sing, and I dabble in-" "And finally," Wu cut in, handing the last boy with black hair and brown eyes armour with a black and silver chest plate,"you are Cole, King of the forests and plains to the West. You are steady as a rock, ready to lead anyone who is willing to follow." Cole nodded, taking the armour. "Tomorrow morning, we will resume your training to the throne, but for now, I suggest you all get sleep. We have a long journey ahead of us." And with that, he goes back to his tent, carrying the chest with him.
