Happy Birthday Nagisa🤲❤️
Can you just change your bicon to the rainbow flag?
are... are you genuinely asking me to change the icon i made for myself for pride month of my favorite character with my pride flag, because my headcanon and your headcanon are not the same despite neither one being a confirmed thing in canon
happy pride month i still think about this one anon that sent me multiple messages pissed off that I saw Tim Drake as bi on August 9th 2021, the night before he got confirmed as queer in Batman: Urban Legends #6, and about 7 months before the solicits for June 2022 confirmed him as specifically bisexual.
is jake gyllenhaal gay??
why would you ask us, a narnia blog, this
happy pride month to this post specifically
I don’t know how to embed a video on here, but this quote so poetically explained a concept I couldn’t put into words.
you cannot talk about the homophobic murder of jonathan joss without including in the conversation that he is indigenous.
american indian men are at the 2nd highest risk of death by murder compared to all other ethnic groups. in their lifetimes, 82% of native men report having experienced domestic violence. yet the overwhelming majority of perpetrators are non-natives (88% of native men and 92% of native women who reported violence said their attacker was non-native). what’s more, tribal governments are often stymied in their attempts to bring justice against non-natives, meaning that many of these cases go unresolved.
this was an intersectional attack. the fact that he is indigenous matters, even if the motivation was homophobic, because it made him even more vulnerable and disposable in the eyes of his killer.
as always, look into MMIWP to learn more, and speak up for us. miigwetch, take care
im talking about this here because i need to let this off my chest. but i went into a trade program for lower incomes. and today, without any warning, we were cut off. the entire program was shutdown NATIONWIDE. leaving so many people without some sort of income, or homeless, or forced to return home to abusive households that they were trying to escape. there are so many people who lost so much in ONE DAY. please understand that so many people are now left with nothing. this was a trade program for people who wanted to LEAVE POVERTY AND ENTER FIELDS WHERE THEY HAD A CHANCE!! and today it was STOLEN. and then to add insult to injury. staff members who are going to LOSE THEIR JOBS. are still stuck there for two more weeks while being forced to find something else in such a short notice. no one. and i mean NO ONE. was given a proper fair warning. please dont leave us to be forgotten.
i dont want to beat around the bush. please help if you can. these are people's lives being dangled around like they're disposable.
please contact your elected officials. post about it. call them. anything so that this isn't swept under the rug.
this current petition is currently at 202 signatures. its not a lot but each one counts. each one gives them a chance.
even if you dont like job corps. even if you never heard of it. people deserve to have a chance with this program if they want it. not have it snatched away from them and to be left with nothing. please spread the word of this at the very least.
I graduated from the Job Corps back in 2018 and it fundamentally changed my life. I fell in love with plumbing, a career path I had never once considered before.
Not only did it give me trade training it was a place where I was trusted to make adult decisions about my future with people who were actively encouraging it. I learned about being proactive about things I wanted to change and realistic about the things I couldn't. It was more than a trade school it was the village needed to raise the child I never had when I was a kid.
I'm still in my trade full time, Im in a union, I love my work. And I loved my time in Job Corps
