Can’t believe those types Mapleshade fans are pretending like they're an oppressed species for liking Mapleshade when in actuality the majority of them are just media-illiterate assholes, and 9/10 they are perpetuating real-world misogyny in defense of her. Grow up and find real issues to worry about. 

Ironically enough, these same people claim that fans of the books' BG characters (particularly Freckle, Apple, and Reed fans) are always "harassing" Mapleshade fans. Even though 80% of the time when you’re in a public comment section on any platform where there are WC fans, you usually see Mapleshade fans attacking people for their opinions and being mad when people don’t reciprocate. There are literally a bunch of toxic Mapleshade fans running rampant through the fandom, and like two of them go around calling people slurs, and another one on Twitter goes around saying racial slurs and trying to paint Moonkitti as a pedophile supporter for "making everyone hate Mapleshade." I’m not even sure why Reedshine fans are thrown in the mix but I would assume it’s because those Mapleshade fans are made that you don’t ship with the woman that murdered her husband, held her friend hostages and then attempted to kill her and her kittens. Amazing fandom right there.

Still floored at the fact that "mapleshade baby trapped appledusk" was at any point considered a legitimate take in the wc fandom as if that isn't one of the most misogynistic interpretations of the books that I've ever heard
