9 days late but Happy Pride Month to everyone, especially my sad repressed 18th-century gay english lord and my ineffable human husbands.
I'm in London right now. Where is David Tennant?
Them: itβs just a coincidence that world Outlander day is the first day of Pride month donβt be weird
Me: Outlander is a beautiful romance about a BISEXUAL himbo and his GAY husband and their POLYAMOROUS wife and their 30+ year three way love story π³οΈβππβ€οΈπ§‘πππππππ³οΈβπ
Happy Outlander Day to all who celebrate!
I just finished The Scottish Prisoner and Iβm already thinking about rereading the whole saga again π Anyone interested in an LJ book club?
Guys? Is Outlander just disguised yaoi? *Spoilers*
Hear me out we all know Outlander is based off of Jamie McCrimmon from Doctor who. Looks like a classic self insert inspired story. But is it?!
The story centres on a woman named Claire who is a nurse ( later a DOCTOR) who accidentally travels through time, meets Jamie Fraser and eventually falls in love with him.
I watched almost all of it come to find out Claire has magical glowing healing powers.
Which of course in a show where a woman travels back in time by touching magic stones isnβt all that far fetched. However the shows direct inspiration coming from doctor who, Claireβs healing power immediately reminded me of time lord regeneration, often depicted as a glowing that emanates from the time lord.
Is this a reach? Yes
Is it a super funny coincidence? Absolutely

Thanks for the screencap submission, @tiredmid30sman!
That's why mental health is important.
Making noise for the ljg spin-off because i NEED to see Hal, Minnie, Stephan, and wee Byrd on my screen!
Outlander has ended, we've turned the page, and the question many of us are asking is: will there be a Lord John Grey spin-off? I hope so.
The moment you realize that this is a cameo not only for Claire diaries, but also the vase and her marriage rings... Hmm...
β Can I interest you in a game of chess ? β
