It’s taken years but I’m finally good at button up shirts
Rerooting Delilah to rid her of her glue problem and now she’s going through her Goblin King era
Two new hand sewn pairs of overalls ready for summer
Still alive - built a doll fridge and a collapsible doll room today. Handed over River Song and hugged Alex Kingston last week. What is my life?
I swear I’m not dead, I’m just busy and usually uninspired 🙃
Here’s a bunch of things I’ve done in the last couple of weeks 👍🏻
Finally found the doll I needed to make a custom Yaz Khan. The nose shape was a little off so I sanded the bridge down a little to match Mandip Gill’s better (only a small mishap with the sanding tool occurred and I was able to salvage 😬) overall, I’m impressed with myself 😂
Delilah and Harry are off doing things again. They’re the most well travelled dolls in my collection
I had the most unexpected surprised when one of my IG friends @raisedbydirewolve got me a session to meet one of my idols, Jodi Benson. Needless to say I was absolutely overwhelmed and delighted with emotions.
I went over and over in my mind what I wanted to ask or say but I knew that the most important thing was letting her know how I felt and how she touched my life. Anything else I could find out if I wanted to but I knew I wanted her to know what she meant to me in my life.
Needless to say I am over the moon.
This is amazing, Big congrats!
You have no idea how much I’ve wanted this to happen. Every time Jodi pops up as a guest, I think of you. I’m so overjoyed 🥺
Here's my Ariana Grande inspired doll custom. Just am really happy with how her paint looks now since I really wanted to experiment with really simple shapes and colours on a play line Barbie head since I do think the current style is getting far too busy with no purpose behind it. For a random custom I'm surprised how much I like this doll.
A fun Christmas gift commission 😍

Me: *falls over 13 times and won’t hold onto props*
I spent a hell of a lot of money buying these so here’s a half assed review:
The petite girl is very cute but her body somehow feels flimsy? For the price I paid, I expected the plastic to feel more substantial but she somehow feels too lightweight; like she’s a bootleg of a MTM in the torso and legs if that makes sense?
Anyway, I’ll ignore that I paid almost $60 for her and that she feels like she should have been $20 purely because I felt inspired to do something the second I had her out of the box and redressed her and did a quick repaint.
I also bought the too pretty blond guy and let me tell you, I’ve got some beef with his outfit but I’ll start with the good points. He’s got hair - well done Mattel, you did it! A male doll with real hair. He’s also got pants that fit, and the waist isn’t stretchy.
But now I’ll talk negatives. The material of the pants, I’m sure, is going to crease and flake within a couple of years, rendering them useless. The top is also shapeless and unnecessarily thick and rigid for what it is. I know they know it was a terrible choice because they actually stuck it to his back with glue dots to keep it in place while packaged.
Note to Mattel: if you need to stick something to your doll to make it look aesthetically appealing, maybe it’s not a good choice and you should go back to the drawing board?
The shirt fabric is also prone to shedding and I found myself wiping the doll down several times after handling it dressed, hence me removing both garments and redressing him in this.
He hasn’t been repainted yet so we’ll see if I feel differently about my investment once that’s done but admittedly, I do feel a little meh about him at the moment.
I shouldn’t need to be out here hemming pre-made clothes I’ve paid actual money for but here I am
The Roche-Carmichael family
I’m putting myself through this again because I can’t rest until it’s done right
If you think 25 dollars is ridiculous for a Lammily doll, th original Lammily one is now 40 dollars
i want receipts
It’s true, but it says “first edition”. There are other listings for her at $25 that include a cheap dress or a t-shirt, listed on some of the item description pages.
There’s also a page called “How Lammily is Different”, which has an image link “comparing” her to the new Curvy Barbie and MH. It’s not even an actual comparison; it’s just a badly photoshopped model in a terrible pose.
Okay, I can’t keep browsing this site. I just keep finding more and more stuff that’s sad. And they’ve got a “historic figures” outfit subscription, which includes Frida Kahlo.
Literally no one expects Monster High to reflect “real” body types they are monsters they’re not even human.
I’m still hoping one will pop up at the thrift store so I can see it in person. I’m not paying retail for one, though.
I ~love~ it when people try to prove how horrrrrribbbbllleeee Barbie is by using illustrations that don’t themselves look like Barbie.
…and that first one doesn’t look like Lammily, either. It should be more like this
not that her legs can bend that far
how about
pfttthaha Ok this whole chain had me giggling but ESPECIALLY this last one 🤣
Too much neck range and bending toes is unrealistic. Fixed it.
SOMEONE.
GIVE HER THE PAPER SHOES.
