Chances are if you’ve played through Portal 2 you heard Cave Johnson’s “Combustible Lemon” speech. Here’s a kickin’ rad typography video of the speech by Ignis Greed.
Review: Dante's Inferno (2010)
Hey guys, sorry about the delay. Arion and I have been busy with school and such, but summer is around the corner, so hopefully we can start churning out more stuff.
Loosely based on the novel by the same name, Dante's Inferno begins with one of the most epic boss battles I have ever played: Fighting Death himself. By this time, I was hooked. As you continue into Hell, you find out that Dante is actually going in to save his wife Beatrice who was killed and taken because Dante broke a sacred promise.
Graphics: Honestly, I loved the art style. The fact that Hell looked so alive and realistic amazed and captured me. The graphics themselves though didn't seem to realistic, which kind of annoyed me.
Gameplay: Honestly, the way the combat and movement is set up makes me think the makers took the God of War engine and added a bit more depth to it. The way the combat/combos system works is by buying new skills and abilities using souls, the games currency. But, these guys added a bit more of a twist by adding Unholy and Holy trees; Certain enemies can be killed by grabbing and either punishing, unholy move, or absolving, holy move and depending on the creature depends on how many un/holy points you get. Unholy favored your Scythe, which you stole from Death (totally badass), combos whereas Holy favored your cross and more magic abilities.
Unfortunately, the way the movement and camera was set up also led to some uncomfortable camera angles every now and then.
Plot: At first, the plot seems capturing and invigorating, but it unfortunately starts feeling very streamlined towards the middle. If you can grin and bare about 1-2 hours worth of gameplay towards the end, the plot revives itself and recaptures you. It also ends on a mysterious cliffhanger.
A great thing about the plot, however, is that it shows insight into Dante's past life through sac-religious flashbacks when you encounter a new circle of hell. You eventually even fight characters from your past life.
Overall: I felt like this was more of an improved God of War clone. I honestly felt that they could have done much better then they actually did at making this game.
75/100
If the plot was more captivating, this game probably would have been much, much better. We'll see if they make a sequel or not, and if they, hopefully, improve it.
(Once again, feedback and constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated.)
Michael LOOOOOVES this game ;D

God, I still love this song. I remember when it was New Years Eve, my dad and I went to the liquor store cause I wanted some champagne and beer. When we came out there some punkass, wanna-be rapper boy sitting in his car with the original, Baby by Justin Bieber, blasting out of the stereo and I was like:
“Shepard, Shepard, Shepard, pitiful. Shepard, Shepard, Shepard, irrelevant. Shepard, Shepard, Shepard, attack”
It was beautiful.
OMFG I CANNOT BREATHE THERE ARE SO MANY TEARS I CAN’T NAME THEM. I’M TRYING SO HARD RIGHT NOW NOT TO LAUGH CAUSE I HAVE COMPANY BUT HOLY SHIT. ////dies.
