I think it’s so funny that among hbowar viewers it’s almost a universal experience to not be able to tell any of those white guys the fuck apart on a first watch through
like the first viewing is about being confused and taking nine episodes to realize that these two guys are different people.
the second viewing is about lovingly keeping watch over everyone and knowing them all by name like they are your flock of sheep and you are a tender, 1940s white guy shepherd, and also feeling maternal instincts toward solomon ‘scooby doo’ jones, a character who never makes it out of the background of the frame and dies offscreen
Malarkey's book Epilogue, but mini comic
next pages below the cut
One time I was leaving a friend's place and an older lady with basically no English came up to me and communicated that she was very cold and needed a ride. She pointed to tell me where to go.
I got there and her daughter or granddaughter came out and was like omg her phone died we were worried
And then the older lady said something and the younger lady translated.
"She knew she could trust you because you have pink hair"
I thought it was funny at the time. But when I think back on it I think she was basically saying "you had a visible sign of not vibing with the system I was afraid of"
Be weird. Be colorful. Help random people.
seeing passages like this on fucking motorsport dot com is such a huge part of what makes this championship so special
the more i listen to carlos talk about lando and his wdc, the more i realise how much carlos knows him. like deep down knows him, not just superficially or on the surface. he talks about him like a man who’s sat through the 2 a.m. spirals, the voice notes sent after disastrous sundays, the quiet confessions you only give to someone who’s earned them. he sounds like someone who’s had a front-row seat to the self-doubt, the hunger, the fury, the moments lando absolutely thought it would never happen for him
it's so intimate.
and the softness in carlos’ voice when he talks about lando’s journey? that’s a man who knows exactly what the lows looked like because lando told him. probably in a late-night text, or over some half-cold dinner. he’s seen every moment luck tried to chew lando up, every hit that should’ve sent him under, and how he still dragged himself back up again. and now he’s watching him finally take what was always his, with the sort of pride you only get when you’ve known the whole story.
Cosmic alignment…
Fuck all of the good luck posts out there. Reblog this to immaculate your vibes

Can they PLEASE offer kitchen appliances in 8 glamorous colors to choose from again
I am very slowly kitchenaid-ing my kitchen. They are pricey, but such good quality
"I want to live in a world in which teenagers can fulfil their natural purpose of being annoying" and "I do not always want to be annoyed by the teenagers" are compatible sentiments
#giving them a third space helps#they're still annoying in public as is their sacred duty#but they tend to congregate in specific areas of public where they can enjoy being annoying together
"I want to live in a world in which teenagers can fulfil their natural purpose of being annoying" and "I do not always want to be annoyed by the teenagers" are compatible sentiments
#I get so happy when I’m annoyed by teenagers in public#because it’s like#these kids are forming communities outside of their parents!#they aren’t shackled by school or soccer or clubs their parents put them in#they have the initiative and confidence to make their own social connections#it’s so so cool that I’m out of touch with what they’re saying and doing#because it means they have lives of their own (tags via @elongated-twink)
You! You are the only person who has correctly understood this post. The point is not that they should go be annoying somewhere else, it's that being annoyed by teenagers in normal public places, while annoying, is a good thing. It is a sign of societal health. We adults just need to be ok with the fact that we're going to be annoyed sometimes.
Aura farming or whatever the kids say
"i'm not obsessed with history" i say as a third of my playlist has songs specifically about world war one, world war two, and operation barbarossa and im working on a world war one project for a teacher that isnt mine, and i have an entire playlist dedicated to songs ive heard in ch animatics and ones that make me think of historical moments/ch animations i want to make
So, I did another one. The 2025 F1 Season Beginner's Guide. Genuinely honoured that a few people requested it and sorry for all the mistakes I've missed. Please enjoy the many recycled jokes from last year and the 2025 exclusive slide "Paddock Pets".
feb 7, 2024: Jessica Campbell, assistant coach, Coachella Valley Firebirds // Breaking Down Barriers series - Behind the Bench
Ran hockey development camps in the offseason
During covid/stoppage in play: players worked with soupy to keep their skills up
Dan Bylsma: when hired to head coach Firebirds called the NHLCA "I don't have any women in my network. Who should i be talking to" INCREDIBLE👏👏👏 no silo/ echo chamber for this dude
Strengths in powerplay & skating/edge skills. Hour before practice, supplementary skating training
Nothing out of the ordinary for her coaching in the AHL as she'd already been working with pro players
"i see myself as a coach. I forget the outside perspective" (forgets how it looks to those on the outside)
Grew up in Saskatchewan playing boys hockey (similar to most womens hockey players of her generation and prior), grew up wanting to play in the NHL🥹
John Hayden, Firebirds forward:
"positive & knowledgable"
"one of those coaches you want to play for, you don't want to let her down"
"Her resume in hockey speaks for itself but really she's just one of us. It's business as usual. It's tremendous to see"
Max McCormick, Firebirds captain:
"she's even keel on the bench, but there's definitely times when she gets excited and you can see her passion and energy"
"it's about who's qualified for the job ... I'm sure she'll climb the ladder and be in the NHL one day. She's just good at what she does"
Dan Bylsma: "i don't think it will happen. I know it will happen." From his lips to the hockey gods
Didn't vote in 2020? Cards Against Humanity will pay you to apologize.
This is the most chaotic good thing I’ve ever seen
Holy shit
