I made Button House in tomodachi life!! It was a bit of a challenge to get it to line up but i managed to figure it out! I wanna try and make custom houses for all my villagers

it's a study of humanity, and our constant need to be moving and present, and an examination of what might happen if we're forced to just be stuck and be still - how we might cope or not cope with that, the things we might latch on to as lifelines, the family we might find in the terror that is eternity. what being stuck in the same place, unable to do or touch or interact with anything, for years and years and years - forever, in fact - might do to a person, how it could change them.

charlotte ritchie's quote of how it's a show about "loss, change, and the end of things" just really perfectly summarises it. i think it's such a beautiful commentary on being human, and what exactly that means to different people, and the strange, seemingly silly things we hold on to when there's nothing left - mundane routines, singing, nature, poetry, memories, things that we would hardly think about when alive, but that would mean so fucking much if dead and faced with the endless abyss that is infinity. it's so beautiful, i can't even explain in words how much it means to me. truly the show ever.

He was washing dishes when a delegation came to inform him he had been chosen to become cardinal but refused to talk with them before he had finished his job. To him menial work was far more holy and important than glitter and power and he even told the delegation to hang the cardinal robes on a tree outside while he continued washing dishes.

the best fanfiction you've ever read was written by a woman in her 40s before she made dinner for her kids. it was written by a teenager after school when they should've been studying for a history test. and a barista came up with the idea while they cleaned the espresso machine and busser fact-checked it on their break and the post-doc edited between writing grant proposals and the nurse apologized for typos in the notes after a long shift and behind every drabble and one-shot and multi-chapter fic there is a person with a wonderful and interesting and chaotic life and it is such a privilege that we get to be apart of it because they decided to do this thing we all share, for fun.
