RAINBOW FURBY ODDBODY COMPLETED

Finished my beautiful, colorful boy! My first odd-body Furby, though his body isn’t so odd as some I’ve seen. I still don’t have a name for him. :(

Since the last post, I finished painting the faceplate and sealed it with a spray acrylic sealant. The plastic posts from the front faceplate were glued into the internal plate using E6000 glue. I used the same glue to place his beautiful glass eyes. Then I filled him with a little baggie of plastic pellets as well as the original fluff from the Puffkin stuffed animal. Last, his back seam was hand-sewn shut. And he’s complete! <3

i customized this lil dude and took the portraits he deserved

remember to provide a varied diet for your furby. strictly fingers will give only fat and protein without providing other necessary vitamins. introducing worms on strings into your furbys feeding routine is a great start, as using live prey can be good exercise and stimulation for your furby. make sure to monitor your furby’s strategies of hunting though, because a more timid furby may end up overwhelmed or harmed by a rowdy worm. in that case, frozen worms would be more suitable.

In Oct. of 3018 I ordered a lavender shelby from @furbae. Due to life circumstances it took her a while to ship her, but I didn’t care and let her know! Along the way she offered me a brown shelby and I purchased him aswell. They came in the mail two days ago (just in time for my birthday on the 17th!) and she was kind enough to include an extra blue shelby for my wait. Thank you so much again, I appreciate them! 💙💚💜

I’ve wanted a more on brand furby to be my mascot for awhile now and although Eno and Pogo are wonderful boys that fall into my main interests they don’t quite capture my Void theme which is a very important and personal thing for me. So I ordered one of my dreamie furbs to customise into a true creature of the void to really fit me

My first proper G1 furby! This man came to me very beat up and very stinky right out the box but he functions very well for his age and was an interesting subject to disect. His tongue was was spray painted red, not molded, and he had no screws holding his faceplate on or glue holding certain parts together unlike the later generations of furbies, you can really see the evolution of how they were made through the years which I found interesting

But that was him before I customised him. What does he look like now?

Ladies and gentlemen I give you VOIDLING!!! I tried my hand at dying fabric with acrylic paint for the first time and it went pretty alright for my purposes, I also spray painted his facial features black. The idea is that in the dark he will be a completely black silhouette of a furby and like a true void boy he has a really hard time showing up on camera

And I think he fits my theme very well

I’m considering getting glow in the dark paint for his eyes and beak and maybe giving him some wings to make him more dragon-like to fit my main interest but I really love the simplicity of him right now

i’ve been on a furby-creating kick lately so! here’s two more longfurbs! left one is Bee (she/her) and the right one is Hot Chip (they/them)! i love them both so much!!!! also the stripes were really tough but looks pretty cool pls appreciate them

Moomin is more or less finished! I even did a little extra and made him overalls specifically to fit his funny tail. He is very sweet and soft and loves the sunshine
