ACTUALLY! A breeder in Germany started to breed healthier pugs called “retro mops” and currebtly ppl are trying to get AKC and UKC to recongnize them as the new standard.

The absurd breed standards are a recent thing, developed in the past 100-150 years. The healthier breeds are much closer to their 19th century ancestors.

I love this scene, especially when you watch it in context. This is just after Merlin confronted Arthur about Agravaine lying. The scene where Merlin was clearly upset and angry right in front of Arthur due to the disappearance of Gauis. Arthur actually said that he had already lost one friend today and not to make him lose another.

As far as Arthur was concerned Merlin was upset and angry with him that night and then in the morning he wasn’t there. Look at how panicked Arthur is above and think about how panicked he would of been earlier in the morning when he realised Merlin was gone. I mean he hasn’t even bothered to put shoes on or get dressed. He has straight away gone everywhere, including outside, looking for Merlin.

I don’t think this is Arthur being annoyed with Merlin. I think this is him covering up his panicking due to the fact he thinks the only friend he has left and the one that he relied on to always be there has left him.

I found this on Youtube and it is SO good, especially the way Bradley performs it. To people who don’t really know Arthur, it’s just the infuriated king yelling for his useless manservant again. But after watching him for the past few years, it’s very clear that that irritation is just a very thin cover for fear. You can actually hear the desperation in his voice and the fact that he even went and searched the outbuildings? In his nightclothes? He’s terrified. Because if Gaius is gone and Merlin is gone, then he has no one.

“Fetch Merlin from his chambers,” Agravaine says to one of the guards who does exactly so.

Arthur turns around, his eyes still widened with what looks like anger as he says, “He’s not there.” 

“Check the armory,” Agravaine says to the other guard, who then leaves to do so. 

“I’ve done that,” Arthur interjects, looking down the hallway. 

“And the stables?” Agravaine says.  Arthur turns back to him. “No sign of him.”

Agravaine queries, “Where could he be?”

“You tell me,” Arthur replies. 

“When did you last see him, my lord?” Agravaine questions as Arthur turns away. 

Moving quickly back down the hallway he came from, Arthur calls, “Last night!” over his shoulder. End ID]
