I love all the different ways the older men in Jamie’s life have now NUTURED him and it shows.

Ted tried to shake Jamie’s hand in season 1 when he took him off the field (to teach him a lesson) but he makes no similar effect here in season 3. Because it’s not necessary. Taking him off the field here is not only because he’s injured and needs to come off, but an opportunity for fans to honor him. That’s profound and Jamie gets that. He has to fight back tears.

Beard having an extra moment of not breaking eye contact and the clapping is significant too. He’s always been reserved with Jamie. But very supportive here. Jamie’s talent was never questioned only his attitude.

And of course Roy honors Jamie in multiple ways. Not just acknowledgement verbally, his radiant proud smile, a nod, clapping or a handshake. All that plus a significant bear hug and multiple fond pats at his accomplishments and whispered praise.
