intersectional feminist. bi. LA. tanya. ^wrote that little description like 6 years ago and thinking about how I would describe myself in 4 words now not sure intersectional feminist fully captures my current anti-capitalist abolitionist kinda socialist politics but maybe it gets at the idea? also I guess I named this blog alwayscarriedawayy because I was an emotionally tumultuous teen who idolized escapism and felt pretty pictures and witty quotes would carry her away from her feelings of entrapment. not sure much has changed but I guess i’ve been able to experience more life and escape some of my demons while discovering new ones so idk but I do think I would still use bi to describe myself because being queer does inform so much of my social circles and how I think about the world. I don’t live in LA anymore (now SD) and don’t think I even like it anymore it’s so self obsessed and lacking in community but that does make me sad because I used to love that city so much and I always felt at home surrounded by those lines of palm trees. I guess my name hasn’t changed but i’ve started to resent it because I tried making people pronounce it correctly and now people from different parts of my life say my name differently and it’s so confusing I don’t even know what to call myself but also I guess the conflict of it describes me and my experience so maybe would include. ok done with little reflection that was kinda fun to write :)
