If you enjoyed this book you should read every other book in the world for extra textual context. All things are intricately related to one another.

If you're a fan of The Stanley Parable and you have the means to reasonably do this, I would really strongly recommend that you go to see the play The Pigeon Factory, which will be part of Edinburgh Fringe this month. I saw it twice earlier this year and both of those times I found it to be a fascinating and hilarious experience.
The official synopsis for the play is the following:
Walden has a pretty good life. Happily married to his mannequin wife, he works his pigeon children into the ground and feasts upon their eggs for sustenance. Walden is doing everything he’s supposed to do – so why does he feel so empty? Can his fantasies about his pigeons sustain him? Or must he face up to a great hurt done to him in the past? The Pigeon Factory is a darkly absurd one-man show that explores work, family and finding purpose in a broken society.
And, like, if as a Stanley Parable fan you read that and notice not just some highly similar explicit imagery ("mannequin wife"???) but also some similarity in themes (a good life being doing what you're supposed to do, one's relationship to their work), then those were also very apparent to me too. But, having seen the show myself, I can say that there's also further similarities such as the theme of cycles, the theme of escape, and exploration of the medium of the story's delivery also present in the show (as well as some scenes that really reminded me of the game a lot). And it's extremely funny, and well acted, and quotable.
It also really gives off a lot of similar vibes to the "The Stanley Parable, Sequels, and YOU!" and the "Making Of Trailer" to The Stanley Parable in terms of playing around with anachronistic forms of video.
Basically: if you're a fan of The Stanley Parable and you're around Edinburgh this month, you can try going to see this and you might very well enjoy it (and enjoy it A LOT if you're like me).
(also I've heard that it's very Lynchian but I haven't seen enough Lynch to back that up)

guy on the subway with one ear pierced, little gold hoop. other guy on the subway very quickly and subtly googling "which one is the gay ear". it is not the gay ear. visible disappointment on his face as he puts his phone away.
