At the beginning of the game, Solomon says MC can’t return to the future because their magic is weak. MC would obviously have no magic if they’re dead.

Solomon returns to the future and shares the bad news. The boys go insane. They rip Solomon apart. They beg Barbatos to somehow bring MC back. Bring back their body at least. Unfortunately, he is unable to.
