Jeremy reminds Kevin of Kayleigh, even if Kevin barely has memories left of her. But when he watches him play, watches him leave everything he's got on the court time and again, watches him play the sport without the violence he was raised on and with the love that his mother once taught him to play with. Scandal be damned, Kevin looks at Jeremy and all he sees is the US Court and his mother's stamp of approval

-> Jeremy, post TBC (hopefully) free to choose whatever he wants his future to look like. Degree in one hand, contract for a pro team in the other, and countless people standing behind him to support him. He had never imagined that life could be so unrestricted, that it could feel so good, so easy to exist. And now that he is on the other side, he can see, can finally acknowledge his own pain without feeling the incessant need to shove it deep down. Maybe he's not okay right away. But with help from the people around his side who truly care for him, he finds the confidence and security to finally carve his own path ahead. Freedom is no longer a fiction he deludes himself with. It's reality, for him and for Jean, forever
