The Poppet Sisters
The Year is 3042. Humanity has eliminated war and hunger, dissolved the borders of country and sexuality, and lives in utopian peace... and it's really boring!
Hence, The Conflict Creation Union was born, dedicated to keeping things interesting by instating a new global conflict every four years. Union members come together every term to pitch the next big threat to the entire world. The best pitch is chosen via global ballot and instated regardless of whether or not the previous conflict resolved.
The CCU is also responsible for smaller monthly conflicts, which resolve within 1-4 weeks and are often third-party submitted.
There are many critics that claim the CCU is a compulsory LARP, that the allocation of resources to the union is better spent elsewhere, or the moralistic argument that the CCU's existence points to a dark impulse at the heart of humanity.
However, 68% of the population would agree that The Boredom is worse.
Conflict pitches which employ twists, reveals, or otherwise require certain information withheld for proper conveyance are known informally as Catch Cons.
Catch Cons require additional paperwork to be included with the submitted pitch deck, but are otherwise allowed. Catch Cons are not required to disclose their full nature to the public, however the public must be disclaimed that the conflict they are voting on will employ a catch.
Many would assume this Catch Cons are unpopular as the voter is purposefully given imperfect information, but as a matter of fact, the lack of information is exactly what excites some voters about the conflict, similar to the experience of reading a mystery book.
Every pitch deck is subject to the same Terms of Protection, which include being brought, opened, and read exclusively in the CCU's high security board room by vetted union members. With Catch Cons, union members are required to sign NDAs before reading or hearing the pitch.
It is up to the discretion of the CCU to decide what happens to the Conflict in the event of a leak, before or after voting and win or lose. As for the leaker, they are banned from becoming a CCU union member, or have their membership revoked if already a member. However, if the true nature of the Catch Con is discovered via natural means (that is, via methods outside of reading the pitch or interrogating union members under NDA), such a discovery is considered "Part of the Drama" and allowed under union rules.

But what if my pitch relies upon keeping information from the general public, in order to make a satisfying narrative reveal? What if I want to develop a robot army, but initially sell them as domestic service robots in order to ensure that they are distributed all over the world prior to their evil nature being discovered when they attack?
Will the CCU insure my project if the evil nature of the robots is revealed too early?

Hello, I'm an anonymous animator at Pixar! You can just call me Luke if that's easier.
Oh nonono, I never worked on any of the movies, I did the animation for the Subway and AT&T collabs. You may or may not have skipped those on your smart TV.

10 Beautiful Postcards comes to Steam, August!
NOW IT CAN BE TOLD.... the world's foremost looking at things, moving around on a computer simulator, 10 BEAUTIFUL POSTCARDS, is soon coming to Steam to amaze and bewilder the populace once more. particularly that part of it that doesn't know what to do with a zip file. 2019's top world-class videogame, voted "world class" in Graphics, Multimedia, No Collision Detection, Cool Music, Dioramas, Hotels, Paintings, and Other. By a unanimous jury of the dead.
If you like the top-down parts of Anthology Of The Killer where you glide around a weird collage pile as a little guy, if you like Yume Nikki, Theresa Duncan's CD-ROMs, the Museum of Anything Goes, the Encyclopedia Of Clamps, if you hate collision, if you desire to enter the World of the Eye, here is a fabulous game for you. 200 screens, 2+ hours.... anecdotally, many more.... a lifetime of Hotel.
I will post more promotional schlock soon. It will be out in AUGUST. Here is the Steam Page. Welcome. Come on in.
Take the eye for a walk - a fabulous multimedia hotel to explore. Move a little guy across 200+ fantastic Screens. NO COLLISION, NO MECHANIC

Local girl makes girldinner with as much effort as it would've taken her to make real dinner
A thing I really appreciate about supergirl is that Kara is never shown to be pretty. Yeha she is pretty regardless because they casted milly fucking alcock but the never show her to be put together. They let her be messy. They let her be rude. They let her fuck up. Every time we see strong confident women in media they are always wearing the tightest bodysuit and look beautiful even when they have been beaten to shit. Not here. Every scene Kara is in she looks like a car had run over her. And they don't "transform" her and make her look prettier by the end to show that she has started to heal. Nah they keep her like that and they change how she acts. I love supergirl.

Of course they don’t like Milly Alcock’s Supergirl. She’s a grown ass woman with zero love interests who spends the movie saving her dog, casually dismantling a sex trafficking ring while she’s at it, and preaching the importance of being good, not nice or smiley or cheerful but good. I for one adored the movie and I really hope I’ll get to see more of Alcock’s Supergirl she’s now my favorite iteration of her and I love her so dearly.
Supergirl was a solid B+, y'all are just mean
Me watching someone play through the Aether Ridge mod in 2023: While a very cool looking and impressive mod, I can't help but feel the map size is bloated beyond reasonability. Plus the platforming looks like an exercise in dexterity that doesn't look fun to navigate.
Me playing The Watcher: Welp.
