For those of you who expressed interest in purchasing some of the HGS stickers, I've decided to hold off on putting together a full shop and instead am going to take orders personally. A house warming gift for my sister @itsbrigidbooks <3 <3 <3 We're collabing on a series of Kitchen Witches for the family with hers based off of St. Brigid/ Celtic Goddess Brigid., but she didn't know I was making one for her 😘😘

I'm trying to paint more to give myself a break from all the digital artwork I do all day with storyboarding, so this was a good challenge. Sketch was digital and then I printed it to do a graphite trace onto the wooden panel (from Michaels, sanded down the rough edges and used a transparent gesso first), but also did a digital color pass first to give me a clear path. Painted with acrylics and kept the sketch taped to the back to trace the small details back on later.

Further WIP stages. If anyone has secret tips on how to make acrylic paint smoother please let me know lol though that doesn't seem to really be the point of the medium BUT its all I feel comfortable with right now.

Ssssslappy Saturday? Sure! (ALSO FLASHING LIGHTS IN THIS VIDEO!) "The Dated Game" is another of my favorites, especially this whole section that I ended up having a big hand in direction wise. The rough boards hadn't quite nailed what "Slappy's Perfect Date" would look like, so I came up with a "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" setting to fit the Slappy aesthetic and also set up how scary The Master would be. And again got the note "make this scary as hell" with The Master emerging from their prison and I said "bet". I love Slappy, he's always a challenge to draw, but he's so fuckin fun and such a lil weirdo <3

gaza is suffering under severe dust storms and the +1M residents of the strip have nowhere to hide because of the occupation

dust storms are NOT normal for gaza's ecosystem. these are a product of israel's ecocide, which destroyed the natural environment that otherwise would have kept soil and debris erosion in check. trees, roots, crops, etc, which protected the land have all been bombed over the past two years. with nothing regulating erosion, gazans are left at the mercy of intense waves of polluted, asbestos filled and cancerous dust that get in their lungs and eyes and will cause diseases for generations to come

as always, the people suffering the most from this will be those who lack the funds to buy shelter and protection. with the renewed blockade after the start of the us/israel-iran war,

bridge of solidarity is fundraising to replace tents for people. they are an anticapitalist mutual aid org centered on the most marginalized gazans—black people, lgbtq people, and those without the means to market themselves to the west

my friend siraj is also fundraising to protect his family during this time. he is ineligible for aid from a lot of these organizations because he has a fundraiser, but he still lacks the means to support his wife, children, and extended family. pls help him out too

yeah I know it's St.Patrick's Day but can I interest you in a belated Year of the Fire Horse x Pokemon piece today? I fuck with Electric Tale of Pikachu aka Dengeki! Pikachu so hard, as a kid that manga was so fascinating to me as re-telling the anime slightly differently and also having much more detailed versions of the tech and pokemon designs. Also finding out later that the author was a hentai artist and seeing the uncensored pages lmao wild. I highly recommend checking it out if you haven't.

This shit had me cackling as a kid, peak drawing and dialogue, I hope the original Japanese is the same.

My gift for the PAT/SB crew White Elephant party at the studio this week! A Star Family Nesting Doll set, complete with Ouchie stuck to the back of Patrick. Was so happy with the response and steals for this! Bonus the only WIP photo I remembered to take, jumpscare of my cluttered bedroom in the background. These started as the plain wooded dolls from Michaels, sanded and sprayed with a primer and a light sketch over that before painting with acrylics, and a glossy sealer spray over top.
