He looks utterly amased and amused by what she’s saying, and it takes him a moment to process all she’s said. He looks like he’s going to talk a few times, but then starts laughing too hard for him to speak. He shakes his head. “Oh my, I,” he laughs again and wipes his eyes. “I don’ even know wha’ ta make fun of ya for first. The fact that you’re gettin’ some tween’s inside scoop on datin’ or that ya read adult magazines.” He gave a wink and then shook his head again. “Are ya askin’ me this personally or..?”
Pinching her lips together and scrunching her nose, Amber makes a weak attempt to conceal her own giggles. “I didn’t–– I–– alrighty! I’ll have you know, tween magazines are actually written for teens but I find the content juvenile and they make fantastic light reading! And–– and the adult magazines are merely magazines for your average sophisticated young lady, so, I just...I think...” She stumbles forward to lean against his chest and, for the second time since Parker’s arrival in the kitchen, hides her face as she laughs.
