There are a lot of people out there who can change your life, and some who will actually get the chance to. And there are a lot of people whose lives you will make better and a lot of people who you’ll hurt. There are people out there right now who have no idea who you are but five years from now will be saying they can’t imagine their life without you. There are people out there who have never heard your name before who will one day be saying “I’m so glad I met you.” Think about that next time you feel like you can’t go on or that you don’t matter. Because the truth is you do, and you will.
I thought you were so mature when I met you because we were 18 and you liked pistachio ice cream and you smoked cigarettes. And I thought, “what are the chances you’d like someone like me?” And you never did. And a few months ago, ten years later, I met someone who spends his summers in the Hamptons and buys real estate as a hobby and I thought, “he’s so accomplished, why would he ever like me?” And it turns out he never actually did either, at least not enough to make it real. Then I got drunk one night and I texted him and I asked him why I wasn’t good enough and he said that I was. He liked me all along, I just refused to see it. I was the one who decided I wasn’t enough. Sometimes we actually can’t see things that are so obviously right in front of us because we don’t feel we deserve them. And all I could think about was how my life would have been different if I realized that at the ice cream parlor ten years ago.
More for you here, my friend 🌿

how do u tell the difference between executive dysfunction, procrastination, and laziness bc fuck idk how to
Idk if you were actually looking for an answer but I talk about this with my therapist a lot so heres his wisdom:
Laziness=You don't want to do a task, so you choose not to, and you're fine with that. You either dont care if it gets done or you figure someone else will do it.
Procrastination=You want to do the task, but you put it off because it seems difficult/boring/time consuming.
Executive dysfunction=You want to do the task, and intend to at that very moment. There is no significant reason not to, but you can't because your brain is having difficulty transitioning between activities.
The key difference, he points out, is that if you experience guilt or shame from not doing it, then it's NOT laziness, because those feelings indicate, on some level, a desire to complete the task.
The latter two have more overlap imo, but for myself, I think of it as whether you are having trouble confronting the task itself, or just the transition.
An excellent explanation!

Bodies aren’t meant to stay the same. We are supposed to grow and change. We shouldn’t be making people in their 30’s, 40’s, 50’s, etc feel like they need to strive for the bodies they had in their teens and 20’s. Or making people feel like they “need to get their bodies back” after they have had children. These mindsets aren’t healthy and change is inevitable.
i love saying fuck me because it can either be sexual or self-loathing and those are two things that describe me perfectly
