Violet Sister, also known as Tova Guo, is a young lady sidekick with a very fearsome power called "Horrorterror's Guise". It means she implants nightmares in your head and you get to live with them for a while. She's part of a riot control team, because her specific 'horror' is crushing loneliness, and she's got quite a large range to cast her "net". :D

So yeah she's kind of a lonely person.

Quincy Rinne is Ophelia Prosper's mentor, and also her big sister. (Ophelia was adopted by Quincy's parents when she was five or six.) She doesn't trust this "Michael Prosper" guy as far as she can throw him (which lbr, may actually be somewhat far?) and thinks he needs to BACK THE FUCK OFF?? Like really dude, weren't you like, dead? (It's a long story.)

Quincy is light bending / flight / metal skin. Her metal skin is somewhat phosphorescent, so when she's all Iron Lady'd up, she glows in the dark. Her hero moniker is STARLIGHT. :D Unlike Pallas, who has been previously posted, her metal skin only happens when she wants it to, and requires no particular effort on her part to keep up. Like flicking a switch, yo.

Junior Officer Damijana Novak is the equivalent of a sidekick in the Federation Superhuman Corps, the Russian equivalent of the American Superhuman League. She's pyrokinetic, she can fly, she can catch a bullet in her teeth and spit it back out, what is there NOT to love? Here, she is pictured in the Russian World Super Games shirt (a LOT OF COUNTRIES are red/white/blue for flag colors, WHO KNEW?). (The back has the gold eagle thing and her surname.)

Expect a LOT of WSG art, I am really excited for this.

Actuary / Sonia Gupta :) Picked her at random off the character list to draw tonight, but she was really fun to draw. (I realized too late that Lady Luck would have been a better codename for her, but oh well. You win some, you lose some.) Her power set is Probability manipulation/Celerity (she can see and react clearly no matter how fast she's moving)/Danger intuition. She works for the League's Internal Affairs team. Usually she's seen as their unofficial driver, because she uses her powers to make all the lights turn green. 

For her costume I wanted to sort of go equal parts bookie and stage magician while avoiding the obvious route of highlighting her ethnicity. Sonia is second or third generation Indian-American, so it wouldn't really make sense, neither character-wise or practicality-wise, to put her in a sari. She did get a bindi, though, but that's a personal thing of hers and not something Costuming and Branding told her to wear. 

(I did have a bit of fun giving her a kind of fancy and illogical mask, though. They're magic!)

I sort of did a complete overhaul of Lou O'Hare/Vanguard (precog reflexes/long jump/healing factor), and this is the result. The new outfit is due to IC events that resulted in her being removed from Carson's team and thus getting a costume separate from his branding. The racelift's a bit of a more complicated story.

In all of my previous drafts of Lou's origin story, her mother had been dead and out of the picture and I never had to really think about what I wanted her character to be. But then when I started working again for Screenwriting II this semester, I reconsidered that and decided that her mother Annie was a really interesting character who I wanted around, because she added a really cool dynamic to all the family stuff and was a much-needed additional female character.. The other thing about Annie was that, the more I thought about her, the more I could only picture her as being portrayed by one specific actress friend of mine, who happens to be African-American. 

I was more attached to the idea of Annie as black than I was to Lou's (honestly kind of bland) blonde design, so I went with it. Retcon ahoy, here we go! 

(I went with rose gold for her buttons, bracers, and the ribbon edging on her skirt-cape. However it's sort of an unlikely color for metal and that makes it tricky to shade?)
