Ballroom : Where you'll find her actually :: Barroom : Where you'll find her actuary
Just put an application in for a fully remote entry level actuarial position. So any good vibes/thoughts/prayers would be greatly appreciated! 💜
You die in a freak incident, perhaps a plane crash, and on your way to the afterlife you plead with death for a chance to return to your life. Death, having been trained as an actuary, acknowledges the improbability of your death, but asks for a copy of your medical records to make sure. After flipping through them and toying with an abacus for a bit, it agrees to cover the cost of your death this time, in exchange for 1.5% of your soul per annum. You return to your loved ones unscathed, but every month you can feel about 163g of your soul being claimed.

Friend: (not laughing or understanding why i'm taking my glasses off to wipe my eyes) i'm sorry, i don't know what actuarial science is
Reader, it took me 6 minutes to type this post because i had to stop halfway and get the giggles out. It's such a bad joke but it's so funny. And i told my actuary friends, and they reacted the exact same way.
