Gentle Reminder
Life is not a road that goes straight. There are twists and turns and detours. Sometimes you get lost. Sometimes you find things you never expected. So whatever journey you are on, do not get discouraged if you're not where you want to be yet. If you keep pushing and keep going forward, you will get where you want to be. You might even find more than what you were looking for. Keep going. ❤️
Did 3 sets of this. Honestly, I had a beer. And was just chilling when I got fed up with not chasing my goals. I was like, I'm better than this. So with a beer in my belly, I did this. I am drinking lots of water now, but am really proud of myself. I surprised myself. Didn't think I could do it. Though I wouldn't suggest it. Haha
Restarting and restarting and restarting
I feel as if I cannot be the only one who is constantly restarting their fitness journey. I’ll kick butt for a week, then suck the week after. I’ll get to the gym and feel great, but then get anxiety on going back again.
Example - this week. I am happy that despite not getting to the gym, I still got some decent walking in, but. I have not been to the gym in a week. What gives?
I am trying to reset goals. Again. I am trying to set up a better reward system. Again. I am trying to be consistent. Again.
I made killer progress at the beginning of this year, and have leveled off since. I am so frustrated with having to restart all the time. And I know the solution is to just cut the bullshit out and just do it. It is just really difficult when you get anxiety over it, I guess? It is so easy to overthink everything. But my body does not need to think in those moments, it needs to move.
Anyone have any advice? What helps you stay consistent, especially when starting (or restarting) out?
