I’m real sick of seeing people do this to their animals. First off, she bought that fox, she didn’t adopt it as she has said on her (now private) Instagram. This poor thing is malnourished. She claims it has an allergy, but this fox is not getting the nutrition it needs. It needs meat!
If you want a vegan pet, get a rabbit. You should never force your lifestyle on an animal. They know what they’re doing in the wild. You’re not going to see a wolf, fox, lion, tiger, or any other carnivore going out looking for berries and leaves, unless they’re absolutely starving. It’s perfectly fine to be vegan, but this is not okay. It’s downright abuse! Stop hurting your pets, asshole!

“I welcome self love into my life”
Something I’ve been struggling with lately, so I made this sigil to add to the front of my ‘self care’ grimoire ♡
Feel free to use it, or reblog! Just please don’t repost as your own.
isn’t amazon’s grocery store basically like whole foods which they already own ? jeff bezos just did this for the drama
he made that shit up for notes
making fun of people for having no money is the stupidest fucking thing. treating someone like theyre beneath you bc they wear thrifted clothes/generic shoes/have an old phone is the stupidest fucking thing. being poor is not a choice. stop deciding a persons value based on whats in their bank account
Also, pro tip: any company that claims to care about the people producing their food? Well, maybe they do, maybe they don’t, but they sure don’t care about the people shipping and handling their food. Kind bars, for example? Fair trade ingredients, but the warehouses they’re shipped through aren’t climate controlled in summer and have bare concrete floors. Or the ones with chocolate are shipped through refrigerated warehouses where half the necessary tasks for processing them can’t be done with gloves on. (At least, not without way more experience than most temp workers have. I could put shipping labels on boxes while wearing gloves now, but I couldn’t then.) Or the tasks could and should be automated but aren’t, because it’s less expensive to pay a temp than to keep a machine in good repair. But despite all the cruelty involved in shipping the ingredients to the factory and shipping the bars to your grocery store (never mind at the factory itself), these granola bars are sold as the humane, fair-trade choice, because Unilever pays the farmers a little bit more for the cashews or cranberries, and probably still far less than what they’re really worth.
Warehouses are liminal spaces. No one thinks about them. They store product and reroute it, often repackage it; they rarely add anything to what the consumer perceives as the product itself. They also employ millions of people, usually at minimum wage or less than 150% of it. (If the starting wage is above $10/hr in my area, it means the working conditions are especially bad.) It’s a very hard environment to work in, even at the “good” ones. It destroys your clothes and your body. Some workers are union (particularly UPS), but the majority are not and many are temps.
If you publicly care about labor rights, please do not leave warehouses out of your activism. I have never seen an article that talks about warehouses as their own entity, only retail, food service, and factories. A few articles about Amazon, but those act like the problems are unique to Amazon, not every company that has “logistics” or “distribution” or “solutions” in its name and large buildings with loading docks. We break our feet and our backs so you can have your groceries or birthday presents. Don’t forget us.
Letting go of about half of my collection of crystals and stones in order to pay for so many expenses, since unemployment isn’t near enough (Just had to get tires today, which is more than a week of pay 😩)
3oz each bag, almost all have at least ten pieces. Mixed origin, with most from South Africa. Each comes with a card to help you identify what’s in your bag. I have 25 of these made, so there’s plenty available. Sets specific for anxiety and depression coming soon. $10 requested donation. Prefer to drop off for SF East Bay folks, but can ship around the US

real adult™ tip from a real adult™ with executive dysfunction
do stuff while waiting for other stuff
like that sounds intuitive and vague but so much of the day is spent in a period of wait and if you struggle to motivate yourself to do things then this is the best time
waiting for your water to boil? bag up your garbage. waiting for your coffee to drip? wipe down your counters. roommate taking up the bathroom? scoop the cat box. waiting for your food to cook in the microwave? do however many dishes you can while it’s in there.
waiting is the perfect time to do a limited amount of something for yourself where you would be otherwise just standing around doing fuck-all
THIS IS REALLY HELPFUL!
I actually turn this into a game!
“How many chores can I do while the water is boiling for my tea?”
“Can I put away the dishes and wipe the counters before my lunch finishes reheating?”
“Can I sweep the floor AND change the laundry while the dogs are out back?”
You can totally do this! If you make it like a game, also, you will get better at it, and you can be like ‘yes, now I put away the dishes AND wiped out the sink before my water boiled, I am a level 2 Adult!’
This is the REALEST, SERIOUSLY.
The tip is real, please do yourself a favor and use it.
I put every stupid little thing I need to do on my to-dos on the app Habitica and literally make a game out of it. Plus, I don’t have to remember what it is that needs doing, I can just check my list.
why do little kids always tantrum scream like they’re reenacting jurassic park
Their emotions are too big for their little bodies y'all
They feel just as intensely as we do
Well maybe they should get bigger bodies
They do. It takes several years.
Several years??? Typical millennial laziness

you know how flints water is horrible still, and you know how it’s not even the city in michigan with the worst water, for instance, 71 entire water systems in michigan alone have a higher lead concentration than flint, and we already recognize flint as having hellish water conditions that no one is doing enough about.
theres also the fact that the united states drinking water infrastructure scored a D by the american society of civil engineers
the vast majority of americans just straight up don’t have access to water that most nations would consider really all that safe to drink at all, notwithstanding the fact that the united states doesnt even consider it up to regulation
and considering the fact that michigan is surrounded by five of some of the biggest bodies of fresh water in the entire world and has 100+ water systems with terrible water … I don’t see much hope for the rest of the united states’ drinking water.
