It's been quite some time since Simone settled into the dome on Erid, after Rocky and some other Eridian scientists had found her trapped in one of the unexplored moons nearby. The healing process was undoubtedly… gruelling to say the least. For both Grace and Simone. The distrust, the fear… it all took a while to work through.

But now, months later, it was safe to say the two grew.. a tad co-dependent on each other. In the current moment, Simone sat curled into a ball, knees to her chest next to Grace, as the two watched a musical on her laptop. Specifically, Cats the Musical. Now to anyone who knew Grace, including her students back on Earth, she was a huge musical nerd. From Newsies and Cats to Hadestown and Hamilton, she loved them all. Of course she had to introduce Simone to the wonderful world of song and dance!

Despite them sitting together to watch the musical, Grace caught herself glancing over to Simone's face from time to time. Her silky black hair looked so much healthier than when they first met, and her face looked fuller, no longer malnourished. Grace's blue eyes remained on Simone's face a beat longer before catching herself and glancing back at the computer screen. This is what moments have slowly morphed into, stolen glances and quickened heart beats; Grace honestly had no idea what the h-e- double hockey stick had gotten into her. She wasn't stupid, she recognised the signs (or so she assumed?) of some sort of romantic attraction. That still didn't make it any less strange— this had literally never happened before!

Okay, maybe not never. But not in a very, very long time. And also not with, well, a woman-! A voice quickly snapped Grace out of her thoughts, blinking as she looked back up at Simone, who was frowning between Grace and the screen.

"Grace… what am I watching?" Confusion was evident in her voice as Memory plays through the speakers. Grace smiles in return, pushing away the blush that threatened to bloom at the attention received from Simone.

"It's my favourite song." she replies, looking back at the scene. "I always wanted to play Grizabella in high school." Simone stares at the nostalgic look on Grace's face for a second, before replying.

"Did you ever get the role?" She asks, holding Grace's gaze steadily as she looked back. The blonde shook her head, a regretful smile on her face. "No, but hey, that only gave me more time to study all the fun stuff— and get extra credit."

Simone pulled a face that Grace swore meant to say 'nerd', but she kept any comments to herself, going back to watch the musical. As the clip played on, Simone slowly inched closer to Grace, until their shoulders brushed. While this wasn't the first intentional touch they've shared, it didn't stop Grace's cheeks from blossoming pink, thoughts racing even faster than before. After spending a year on Erid with no human contact, and more so on the Hail Mary… the touches were very, very, welcome. With a burst of confidence, fuelled by the want to be closer to another human body, the blonde rests her arm gently over Simone's shoulders, careful not to make her uncomfortable.

Simone, on the other hand, just rest her head on the shoulder beside her, making a content noise that if Grace didn't know any better, was akin to purring.

Yeah.

Grace could get used to this.

I wanna write some fanfic oneshots (no I shouldn't be since I have to work on school stuff) but I still wanna try if I have time between finishing my books, school work, and playing games

Hedgehog's Dilemma

Macie Greene was… a true specimen. Her soft, brilliant, eyes drastically contrasted against the stench of death which followed her around like a plague. The slight curve of her lips, softer than silk, concealing the bloodstained fangs beneath. Everything about her was a contradiction, and Reagan was (unfortunately) lost in the desperate need to uncover everything. Figure her out like a puzzle.

No one else seemed to notice her inconsistencies, and Ms. Greene there had made it crystal clear, if Reagan dared utter a word of what she knew, she wouldn't hesitate to make of her what she did her last meal. She should run— escape before it's too late, maybe go to they cops, but no; Even that wasn't an option. If Captain Greene was anything like his daughter, Reagan's fate was destined to be sealed. This threat on her reputation, or even her life should have her high-tailing it out of sight.

And yet.

It was like the two gravitated towards each other. Randomly partnered up in classes, coincidentally running into each other in the halls… With luck like this, a bond was bound to bloom, no?

Not friendship of course. The thought alone of being 'friends' with Macie Greene made Reagan recoil with what she claims is disgust. So no, not friendship. Just.. some dammed mutual understanding, mutual need perhaps. Slowly, excruciatingly so, the two grew closer. And closer. And yet it seemed any time the two were close to a breakthrough, something happened.

Inevitably, each single attempt of some sort of reconciliation, had crashed and burned. They want to. It would be as clear as day to anyone on the outside— if they knew that is— how desperately the two wanted to get closer.

Yet, the fear. The suspicion. It wouldn't be something easy to get over. Not now.

And perhaps never.

"The... what?" Reagan blinks, eyes narrowing ever so slightly at her friend. Yet Macie's gaze didn't flicker once, genuine confusion glittering in her eyes. "Yeah, the ones our master gave us.. first week of training? So we wouldn't blow up anything important? they're part of the regulations— did you even *read* the handbook?"

"Oh wow... I was not aware I could do... that." Her eyes fixated on the tornado up ahead, Macie's jaw dropped so low it basically hit the floor. "You CAUSED A TORNADO?!" She shrieks.

I just wish I could say something. Speak up. Explain myself. But every time I dare, It's not that deep! You said you're already okay with this, you know? What would you know? Oh, you dont feel like that anymore right?

My own hypocrisy laughs in my face dare i even think something is unfair. After all, a person like me could never judge the actions of another— I am no better after all.

It doesn't matter now. What's done is done. Maturity is letting go. Maturity is putting others before yourself. Or so I've come to learn.
