i have had an Epiphany whereby i have understood how (if one were so inclined) one could feasibly interpret greg and alex's relationship as... i am struggling to choose the right word or framework, but let's go with the way alex would put it: "family friendly"

alex is greg's emotional support dog.

the multiple puppy jokes aside, alex looks at greg with simple, happy adoration the way a dog looks at an owner i can absolutely see alex thinking "it's my job to calm him down when he gets in his head about the things. how? mostly by being silly or getting other people to be silly until he calms down. i am trained to spot when he is anxious. i am A Very Good Boy"

Currently reading: just started The Palace of Illusion by Rowenna Miller (which is shaping up to be kinda mid, but there's still time, it's early days), just finished The King of Infinite Space by Lyndsey Faye (which I enjoyed very much), planning on reading How To Get Away with Murder by Rebecca Philipson (so far as I can tell no connection to the show) and The Angel of Indian Lake by Stephen Graham Jones over the weekend

Current obsession: holding on with dear life to Taskmaster, refusing to let a fuckup with a season that i shall not watch ruin it for me. hopefully the serotonin continues to come

Currently working on: job searching (the bane of existence), green-belt form (seyiunchin), high holiday liturgical melodies for morning services

Coffee or tea: ooooh i love tea. i stick to herbal mostly, caffeinated tea to help with migraines.

Last internet search: whether there was a fifth shape in the boxed mac&cheese brand i ate in my childhood that they took away so that there are now only four (i will swear to you there used to be five)

i mean, if you’d like, he can get super flustered about it and try to pretend he doesn’t, or he can have a huge guilt complex about his desires seemingly being at odds with his own ideal version of himself and how much he loves his partner, but at the end of the day, he’s still got one hand over his mouth to muffle his own whining as he thinks about having them in tears and begging for him to stop. true about all characters who are pure of heart, they told me so themselves
