“I hate this like, gross dead period where Christmas is over, but winter isn’t. What’s the point of January through March, anyways? Other than to make sure nobody looks good because we’re all in puffy winter jackets?” To say Archie wasn’t a fan was definitely an understatement. “No offense if you like, y’know, not being able to make decent snowballs while still being able to ruin your shoes.”
Ana just stared at him before giving a shrug of her shoulders. “Nope, I was just waiting for you to shut your trap for a sec so I could say that I didn’t care. I know for a fact I look cute in my puffy pastel pink jacket, but I understand not everyone can pull off this look. You definitely have a hard time doing it from the newscast I’ve seen.”
londonboysquad:
“Yeah, it’s too bad he doesn’t have a shot in hell.” Benji wasn’t bothered by that fact. If he wasn’t into it, he wasn’t into it. End of story. “Yeah, and I certainly wouldn’t have let him bite me. I’ve still got the mark from that.” He moved his collar, showing her the scar from where he’d been bitten. “I’m hoping it goes away. My new guy will barely even look at it.” There were a lot of marks that he had that Amy couldn’t seem to stomach, the tallies tattooed on his arm a major one. “I’ve broken all of my golden rules for him.” Things were easier if he didn’t get attached. Then he could run wild, could do what he liked, and no one got hurt.
“It’ll go away,” Ana glanced at it with a slight shrug. “Well your new guy needs to understand that there are certain things you do and if you aren’t tied down to him then you can have whatever marks you want on your body.” Ana knew that if she ever came back with a mark from someone else, Victor would probably take one of his chef knives and filet them like a fish or something. “So the question I guess now is, if you’re breaking all your rules for him, is it worth breaking your biggest one of no dating? Cause this definitely sounds like more than just the occasional fuck.”
londonboysquad:
“Oh, him? No, but he texts me like, every other day. Likes my stuff on Instagram. It’s cute.” Benji found the tally in question - how he knew who was who no one knew - tracing his finger over it. “Vampire boy was sketchy, but extremely conscientious about health and cleanliness and stuff.” He had to laugh at her reaction, shaking his head. “I normally don’t. This guy was special.”
“Oh that is cute, sounds like someone has a crush on you,” she teased him and the smiled. “I sort of figured that if vampy wasn’t clean and shit you would have never gone with him.” She watched his fingers trace the tattoo and shrugged. She never asked about it really, guessing it was something akin to his little black book. “Special? Special how exactly Benji? You broke one of your golden rules for him.”
londonboysquad:
“The one from the party. The one at the club had never done anything like that before, I didn’t think he had something.” He seemed to consider a moment. “Unless you’re talking about… that other one from the club.”
“I’m talking about the really good looking one that wore his eyeliner perfectly and I wanted him to do my makeup,” she laughed and leaned back. “Party guy though? Ugh, and here I thought it would have been want to be vampire boy from the club. Wait,” she sat up straighter, looking at him. “You did a virgin? Oh my God, Benji, I thought you liked people you didn’t have to teach things to.”
dxvyas:
Divya shook her head, pulling a face that somehow combined disgust and compassion. Even the simplest of heels were the source of pain and discomfort for her and she couldn’t even begin to imagine what the process of breaking in a brand new pair of point shoes might have been. “Sure, why not. That sounds quite nice.”
No pain, no gain, wasn’t that the saying that practically everyone used to wave away doing things for something that you loved? Ana wouldn’t change anything for the world, but then again she hadn’t needed to break in a new pair of point shoes in years. “Great, I might even go big and order dessert, I hear tonight they’re having those little baby cheesecakes with a raspberry coolie topping.”
londonboysquad:
“No STDs for me, Miss Thing.” He leaned over to poke at her bubble. “You’re looking at a man with a clean bill of health, even after that super sketch guy, y’know, blew me over.”
Ana actually gave a little pout when her bubble deflated, and Benji was lucky he was one of the few that the dancer tolerated or there would have been some damage done. It was always interesting to hear him speak too, colorful to say the least. “Is this the guy you met at the party or the one you met at the club? Or is it neither A or B but C?”
queenxmeredith:
Meredith looked over at the girl when she spoke. “Oh, sure! I’ve been doing photoshoots all day, I need some fun.”
“I can’t promise fun, I’ve been dancing in these new shoes for six hours and my feet are throbbing, bleeding and I’m tired, but I can promise decent conversation and sensational food. Prepared by my boyfriend.”
“I forgot how painful breaking in new point shoes can be,” Ana sighed, rubbing her feet through the soft slippers she was wearing, the only thing that didn’t hurt her feet right now. “I was just heading for Moonlight Sonata, I have a standing open table, want to join me? Can’t promise we’ll leave together, depends if Vic wants me to wait around for him.”
“So, because I know you care, so very deeply.” Benji didn’t believe they really did, but that was beside the point. “I got the results of my test back. Merry Christmas to me, I don’t have anything.”
“Test for what? You never even told me that you were taking some sort of test,” Ana said, blowing a bubble with her gum before staring at him. “You don’t have anything meaning what exactly?”
londonboysquad:
The Tube was always full this time of day, but it seemed like - perhaps with the holidays? - it was more crowded than ever, people packed in like sardines. Lucky had been, well, lucky enough to get a seat, and he leaned over, tugging on the sleeve of the person closest to him, looking up at them with a soft smirk. “I can scoot over a tiny bit, if you don’t want to stand. Or you can sit in my lap, if you like.” He all but purred, “I promise I don’t bite.”
Ana was annoyed to say the least. Figures rehearsal would out late because the lead couldn’t show up on time. By the time she found the spot, she felt the sleeve of her baby blue pea coat being tugged and she looked down at Lucky, seemingly unimpressed by the purr like sound he was emitting. “No thank you, I’ll continue standing.”
Yeah, you can start over, you can run free You can find other fish in the sea You can pretend it's meant to be But you can't stay away from me I can still hear you making that sound Taking me down, rolling on the ground You can pretend that it was me But no Baby, I'm preying on you tonight Hunt you down eat you alive Just like animals, animals, like animals-mals
Already sloshed, Vic leaned over to the person beside him, grinning. “Hey, it’s a holiday, right? New Years’ counts, don’t it?” He pulled another bill out of his wallet, sliding it across the bar to the bartender. “’nother for me, and whatever they want,” He jerked his thumb at the person he’d asked about holidays, “Happy holidays, dude. This one’s on me.”
Ana had heard him offer the other person a drink, sneaking up behind Vic with a smirk as she looked to the other person. The look that read ‘if you so much as try to flirt with him I will have no problem taking this heel and making sure it lodges in your eye’ before leaning in and wrapping her arms around him and biting down on his neck hard enough to leave a small mark right off the bat. “What about me? Do I get a drink too?”
