soft daddy Louis when Harry's had a long/bad day! just wants to make his baby feel good!
I FINALLY FINISHED THIS!!!!! HOLY SHIT!!!!! I DIDNāT MEAN FOR IT TO BE SO LONG OR FOR IT TO JUST, LIKE, BE THIS WAY IN GENERAL. IT TOOK FOREVER. I AM SO SORRY. WARNING 4 SOME NOT-TOO-FILTHY SMUT AHEAD.
Louisās got a bad habit of fallingasleep on the sofa ā to be fair, itās a greatsofa ā and, consequently, spends a lot of time getting an earful over howawful it is for his back, as if Harryās nottwenty-three going on eighty.
Which is why itās a bit strangewhen, rather than being prodded at unceremoniously, Louis awakens to Harryspilling into the tiny space between Louisās body and the edge of the seatcushion, carefully arranging himself to fit. His arms slide around Louisāsmiddle, and Louis chuckles as he ducks his chin, buries his nose into Harryāshair and inhales shampoo and summer-musk.
āYouāll fall, love,ā Louis murmurs, even as he winds an arm over Harry and shifts farther back into the couch, tugging Harry in closer. Harry only hums disinterestedly and tilts his chin upwith a languid blink.
āCan I have a kiss, Daddy?ā heasks. Louis obliges, soft-lipped and easy, brushing his knuckles over Harryāscheek. Heās been Daddy for years now,but it never stops feeling like a gift, like something he needs to keep safeand secure behind his heart, because Harryās trusted him to do so.
Eventually, Louis tugs Harryās headback with his fingers wound into his hair. His brow furrows.
Iāve got asixth sense for these things, Louisās joked, always know when my Hazza needs me. My baby.

I'm never getting over the fact that 19 year old Louis made this card to 17 year old Harryššš 15 years ago today! 19 year old Louis printed out pictures, used different colours to write with, and wrote a bunch of probably very romantic, very sappy words.
Today Harry turns 32, and in July he has known (and loved) Louis for half his life. I'm emotional. Our babiesšš
i really donāt want to jinx anything but we could be setting an unprecedented record today and iām watching with held breath to see if they pull this off.
AND IT IS OFFICAL
THEY DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For the first time in UK Official Charts history, two different members of the same band are simultaneously holding the #1 single and the #1 album as solo artists.
The amount of love and pride I feel right now is unreal.
more thoughts about Last Night
i will preface this with a content warning: i'm (among other things) briefly discussing thoughts of H or L dying in this post, so if those thoughts upset you, please don't read on.
i've mentioned before that imo the song is about Harry and him and i find the theme, or rather the direction the thoughts in the lyrics are going in so poignant and a little heartbreaking in the aftermath of Liam's death and a perspective shift H & Lou very probably went through.
"If this were the last night of our lives You would tell me how you feeling If we don't make it out alive I'm scared of what if our futures, they never collide"
just the decision to go there, you know? why is "what if this was the last night we'd have together?" a thought? what made you think this was a recent possibility? i mean we know why. but man... ouch. and the thought of "what if our futures don't collide".. i read it as what if they don't meet in the future, because one might not have one? not that they haven't been dealing with a lot of death, grief, and trauma pre-2024 already, but this song -to me- feels like it's the first one in which Louis addresses their mortality; that life for them together is limited.. that it could also be over any day (like Liam's was); that one could lose the other in the blink of an eye.. they had lost family, they had lost friends, but they had never lost one of them before. and then Liam passed in such a completely unexpected and traumatising way. another way of it hitting literally too close to home.
and yet the song isn't a ballad and it doesn't sound sad at all. no, it's upbeat, powerful, strong. the rest of the lyrics seem like such a sincere and gentle, romantic and intimate ode to moments spent together just them. moments in which eyes keep talking after mouths went silent; in which body language mattered just as much and the "building castles down here with you" -to me- is such a nod to them building their own little world together; their home and sanctuary and safe space; a place in which you can dream and be whoever you want to be together.
i think overall the song is such an ode to "life is short, we will never know which night will be our last, but i'm endlessly in love with you and want to make sure our futures connect, and also we should make sure we keep tucking away these moments just for us two and to keep talking about how we feel"
also that "expectations on the first night" made me weepy, because back then they were just 2 babies hopelessly gone for each other and it's such a throwback and little nod to over 15 years of them being together. š„¹

I canāt believe Louis told Harry he could sit next to him during that interview as long as he was quiet and Harry - naturally - was like TOO EASY and it would have been if Louis hadnāt started SHIT TALKING THE SONG THEY FELL IN LOVE TO so Louis had to put a hand on him to hold him back and remind him to BE QUIET THEY ARE ON VIDEO WITH A RADIO STATION
