BLAINE DEVON ANDERSONĀ ā 24, Musical Empathy, Born Hero, Hero, Rebel Alliance.
Growing up, the Anderson siblings were incredibly close. Of course, they bickered and fought like all siblings. But at the end of the day, they were there for each other. In the long run, they had to be. That was what family did. At least, that was what the Anderson family did. One day, shortly after the tripletsāĀ fourteenth birthday, Blaine and his brother were bickering, and as emotions heightened, chairs went flying. Blaine had sent a chair near his brother flying by a blast coming from him. He had no idea what he had done or how he had done it, but he knew it was his power.
When Blaine entered the Academy, he started learning immediately. He had been admitted with the same power as his brother, but when he went into power training, his power refused to work. He was convinced that something was broken, because he could very clearly remember his power working before. That was when the staff tried to get Blaine to recreate the entire circumstances of his power manifestation. It took a while, but then Blaine remembered the music. He remembered that Abby had been playing some upbeat pop song while he and his brother were fighting. At his next training session, they played the song, and suddenly, Blaineās powers were back. That was how he learned that he didnāt have the same power as his brother, he had something they were calling āmusical empathyā.
Throughout his years at the Academy, he nurtured his power, and he began to learn that he could do more than just shoot out energy when upbeat music played. First, he had his powers separated by the style of music, but as he got more precise, his abilities depended on the genre of music. Pop music created disorienting blasts, rock music created concussive blasts, techno allowed him to generate balls of electricity, gospel music allowed him to heal⦠And he still had more genres to discover.
When the rebellion came, Blaine knew where he needed to go. He needed to fight for the rights of everyone, and he knew the rebellion was where he needed to be. He was just grateful to have Abby and Cole with him when he went there. Today, Blaine can always be found with an iPod of some kind in his pocket so he can activate his powers at a momentās notice. He knows thatās what he needs to fight the government, and thatās what heās ready to do.
