TW: Amber Heard vs Johnny Depp (but PLEASE READ if you can stomach the talk about DV!)
I am declaring now that I take back EVERYTHING I’ve said about this case anywhere online or off. I have found out much information which I did not have which gives a new perspective on evidence that previously made it look like she was the abuser (eg. the first bombshell was revealed at “when you take the high road” in part 1 of linked video where a part of a phone call recording SOUNDED like an admission of guilt and an abuser mocking their victim but really it was an out of context clip from edited phone calls shared to Johnny Depp stans from his lawyer where she explained why she reacted to pain and freaked out in a fight flight freeze or fawn state because she thought, after years of abuse, that he was going to attack her again). After around 2 weeks of research, watching all 3 parts of Medusone’s series (part 1 linked), rewatching videos breaking down the case, listening to audios like the Australian audio, listening to Medusone’s hours and hours long podcasts going through the evidence, watching her whole deposition, going through transcripts and watching testimonies and cross examinations I have concluded that I was manipulated with lies and manipulated audios and facts which twisted the truth into a lie. I apologise to Amber Heard for my contribution into her public abuse. As someone who went through intimate partner abuse by someone who wasn’t a cis man, I value all victims regardless of the gender or sex of either party, but in this case I believe Johnny Depp used DARVO to use Reactive Abuse against Amber and then painted her as the abuser in order to manipulate people with consciences to join in with the public hate when the “gold digger” narrative didn’t work, on its own at least. I also can’t ignore how her neurodivergence (she’s ADHD) was used against her with that pseudoscience bullshit of body language analysis, which is particularly heinous to do to someone neurodivergent as we do have different ways of communicating and we often do “tells” of lying. No wonder people didn’t understand her. I suggest everyone who believed him to watch at least the first part but really every three parts are so important. Amber was and is truly an unambiguous victim. Thank you for reading
