Periods are a state of mind

There's this dude in my grade that made a stupid comment that "periods aren't real. They are just a state of mind". My brothers friend then said "if he doesn't believe periods are real, I will show him my bloody tampons or just lift up my skirt and show him". This is just ridiculous that people aren't educated enough to know that blood leaks from a girls loins to get rid of an egg.
