Lately I feel like the way people have left my life makes sense to me - and not because I think they were right or because i dislike them, I just feel like I finally understand some of the complexity of relationships and why not everyone is worth fighting for in your life and it's not even a reflection of their worth, it's reflection of yourself your own needs and your view on the world

I don't wanna say I'm in the camp of "nothing is truly ever personal" but I do think sometimes accountability culture actually makes people feel TOO responsible for other people's emotions and reactions when there is actually something to be said about respecting everyone has their own perspective and it being their truth doesn't make them right, and whoever cries the hardest doesn't automatically make them the victim

I feel like the entire concept of harm has been so disfigured in the last 15 years in a way I can't really describe and part of the healing is realizing I don't have to
