- Izzy loves to do Clary’s hair. She brushes it and braids it and pulls it into buns, and Clary pouts until Izzy plants a kiss to her cheek as a reward.
- Sometimes she tries to do Clary’s makeup too, but Clary doesn’t care for it, and after Izzy’s done she always finds herself thinking that Clary is prettiest dressed down in her t-shirt and jeans, no makeup and caught off guard. When Izzy catches Clary like that, curled into a sofa with a book, or laughing with Simon and a guitar, she wishes she could draw too, to capture the moment through her own eyes.
- Clary tries her very hardest to teach Izzy about comic books and super hero movies, but she insists she doesn’t care for them, until one day Clary catches Izzy reading a comic under the covers with a ridiculous grin on her face. Clary teases her relentlessly for it – “I knew it the whole time! I knew you loved Marvel!” Izzy blushes and fumbles for an excuse, but eventually confesses.
- They are the biggest nerds together after that. GIANT NERDY GEEKS. They buy all the merchandise for their favorite superheroes, and they go to all the midnight premieres dressed up in costume at Clary’s encouragement.
- They love to play fight. Pillow fight, tickle fight, bickering about nail polish colors and the best way to conceal a weapon in a boot.
- Clary tries to help Izzy cook and there’s some success (like, salads and soups are okay when Izzy is supervised). Mostly when they cook there’s a lot of laughing and teasing and kissing.
“Izzy, where did the knives go?”
“You mean these ones?” She replies, holding four knives like a fan in front of her face, obscuring the smirk that means she’s planning something.
“I need to chop these vegetables.”
“You’ll have to kiss me first,” and Izzy holds the knives beyond Clary’s reach.
- Izzy makes Clary go shopping and Clary cedes because as Izzy tries on dresses, Clary can sit with her sketchbook and practice the curve of her collarbone and the slope of her nose that pencil and paper can never seem to get quite right, and Clary is always dumbfounded because Izzy is so beautiful and she has given herself to her.
