said this to my friends the other week when I was bitching about book 3 & lore inconsistencies but hamish has had to work with the trilogy deal since nobrow so I don't really care about excuses. like yeah ig it sucks that union square wasn't willing to extend the deal so the story was rushed & many storylines had to be dropped or retconned & on top of that you could very easily tell he was burnt out on deadendia after all the bullshit but the comic went on hiatus in 2019, he's had a very long time to come up with a script for book 3 that doesn't grossly disrespect the majority of the main cast

and i keep saying how zagan biting norma was a huge letdown because genuinely nothing interesting even happened it just magically fixed norma's ghost issue without any side effects and btw HOW did that even work it makes no sense to me!! why make a fuss over it if the bite wasn't gonna turn her into a vampire or change Anything about her appearance 😒 it felt like such a serious thing at the time and i was SO disappointed that nothing meaningful came out of it
