CQL Mobile Game reveals Wen Ning
i’ll get back to this one
I’ve honestly never thought about how petty Lan Wangji’s destroying of the Jiang-Jin spirit trapping nets was. Now, I’m just imagining the juniors just watching, carefully quiet, as he methodically finds and cuts them all down.
Jingyi: …uh, is he supposed to be doing that?
Sizhui: just…just leave it
Lan Wangji: [silently shredding another net]
Jingyi: is your dad, like, okay?

The Untamed | Fatal Journey
Nielan, 21 for the prompt
21. “you’re not very intimidating.”
Nie Mingjue has no idea how he ended up here, but here he was having a tea party with his cat. Huaisang was visiting Lotus Pier and Zonghui had taken some of the disciples out on a nighthunt, so Mingjue was alone and he was bored. His work for the day was finished, it was too late to cram in another workout session so here he was, alone in his room, with the kitten he found somewhere in the woods.
At first Mingjue was just going to enjoy some tea on his own and then hopefully it would be late enough to get to bed. But then Daxia sat down on the pillow across the table from him with a soft meow. She was still sitting there, but with a small bowl of water in front of her and some food. And somehow, Mingjue had started talking to her. Telling her about his day, complaining about some stupid paperwork or about today’s training. Daxia always managed to meow back at him at the right moments, which made him feel understood. Gods, was he really that lonely?
He was in the middle of telling Daxia about how Huaisang had only decided to go visit Lotus Pier only so he wouldn’t have to go on a night hunt tonight when he heard the doors to his chambers open after a soft knock.
“Mingjue, my love, who are you talking to?” Xichen walked in slowly, looking around the room, looking for his beloved. When his eyes fell on Mingjue, sitting across Daxia, he could barely stop himself from laughing.
Mingjue jumped up, scaring Daxia with his sudden movement. She crawled up his robes, into his arms where she felt safe and happy.
“Were you having a conversation with Daxia?” Xichen asked, giggling softly. Daxia meowed, as if saying yes. What a traitor.
“No! No I wasn’t talking to Daxia, that’s ridiculous Xichen!” Mingjue sputtered. “How did you get here, it’s late Xichen, you should be in bed already.”
Xichen smiled and came closer to give Mingjue a kiss on his cheek and Daxia one on her head. “I wanted to surprise you, I missed you.” Xichen said, “Who were you talking to, though, if not to Daxia?” Then his eyes went to the table where he saw Mingjue’s tea across from the bowl of water and the plate with Daxia’s food. “Ah, I see. You weren’t just having a conversation, you were having a tea party!”
Mingjue already knew Xichen wouldn’t drop this unless he gave in, so he did. “Okay, maybe I was talking to Daxia”, Mingjue grumbled, “but I swear, Xichen, if you tell anyone-”
“You’ll do what?” Xichen laughed, cocking his eyebrow, “You’re not very intimidating with a kitten in your arms”
“Did you come here just to laugh at me, or are you actually going to keep me company?” Mingjue said, trying to still sound annoyed but he couldn’t. Not when Xichen was right there, eyes twinkling and a bright smile on his face.
Xichen turned around, grabbed another cup for himself and sat down right where Daxia was sitting earlier. “You’re right, I’m sorry. How about I just join your tea party, the more the merrier, right?”
Mingjue put Daxia down, who immediately crawled in Xichen’s lap, and sat down himself. He poured Xichen some tea and then grabbed his hand. “I missed you, too, Xichen”
Based on something @angelwenning drew for me. Everyone go read more about Nielan and Daxia in Nori’s wonderful fic on ao3!

9 and 12 from the prompt list pls??
9. “oh, you’ve started stealing my socks now?” & 12. “how did you get in here?”
Mingjue had heard of the whole ‘stealing of clothing’ phenomenon. He had seen Wuxian walk around in more than enough of Wangji’s clothes to know it’s true. So when he started dating Lan Xichen he was prepared for it.
It had started with just jackets and sweaters., every now and then a shirt to sleep in. Usually Mingjue was even the one to give them to Xichen, as he quickly learned he loved seeing Xichen in his clothes. Mingjue’s shirts and sweaters slightly too big on him. Xichen always made them look even more comfortable and warm than they were, with his sweater paws and the way he curled up in them. Slowly, Xichen stopped returning Mingjue’s clothing and claiming more and more.
Then Xichen moved in and things started getting out of hand. Mingjue’s hoodies? Xichen’s. Mingjue’s shirts? Xichen’s. Mingjue’s pants? Xichen’s. Even his underwear. It took Mingjue a while to figure out exactly why the laundry was always 90 per cent his clothing and why he ran out of underwear so quickly.
It was endearing to see how much Xichen liked wearing Mingjue’s clothing, but it was also quite frustrating to see you’ve ran out of underwear when you’re late for work. Or when you’re excited to wear something only to find out it’s in the laundry even though you’ve only worn it once since washing it and it wasn’t ready to be washed just yet. But he had learned to live with it, seeing Xichen drown in his clothes was just too nice to say anything about it.
Today, however, Mingjue had no time for it. He had an important meeting with some Jin brat and he didn’t want to go there without his favourite sweater. He was sure he left it in the hallway this morning, so Xichen was most likely wearing it right now. The only problem was, Xichen was nowhere to be found. Mingjue had heard him rummage around in the bathroom and bedroom when he came home for lunch, but he hadn’t seen him yet and he really wanted to.
Mingjue was annoyed. He had just wanted to come home, see his boyfriend, have lunch, wear his favourite sweater because it was cold today and then go to work again to get the stupid meeting over with. But instead he got hiccups that wouldn’t go away the second he walked into the building, then the elevator stopped working so he had to climb five flights of stairs, not that he’d mind any other day, and then his boyfriend and his favourite sweater were nowhere to be found.
“Xichen”, he called out between two hiccups. No answer. “Xi-” hiccup. “Xichen?” He heard a faint giggle come from their bedroom. So with a sigh (and some hiccups) he walked there to see what his boyfriend was up to now.
“My love, are you in here?” Mingjue asked, walking into the bedroom. Once more, no answer. He sighed and decided to check the closet in here, just to be sure Xichen didn’t just put his sweater in the closet. When he opened the closet, though, his sweater wasn’t the only thing he found. He was greeted with arms full of boyfriend, tumbling from the upper part of their closet.
“Surprise”, Xichen giggled, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend’s neck before pressing a soft kiss on his cheek. “Took you long enough, I’ve been in there since you got home.”
“How did you even get in here?” Mingjue grumbled, trying to get his heart to stop beating so fast.
“Your arms you mean? Well, I fell”
Mingjue grumbled a bit and put Xichen’s feet on the ground, not letting go of his waist though. “I mean that part of the closet! And why where you in there in the first place?”
“You had hiccups. Now you don’t. Uncle always said surprising someone was the best way to get hiccups to go away”, Xichen said, “and about how I got in there… I’m quite agile, you should know by now”
Gods yes, does Mingjue know how agile Xichen is exactly… And Xichen was right about the hiccups too. They were gone, thank the gods!
“Hm. Never do that again though, you could’ve hurt yourself”, Mingjue whispered, tugging his Xichen just a bit closer to him.
“I knew you were going to catch me, my love.” Xichen said before pushing Mingjue away softly. “You have to eat now, or else you’ll be late for your meeting.”
“Hm. And I’ll also need my sweater back”, Mingjue said following Xichen to the kitchen, allowing his eyes to scan over his boyfriend’s boyfriend’s body. He would’ve just enjoyed the way Xichen looks in his sweater had his eyes not noticed something weird about Xichen’s socks… They weren’t Xichen’s at all. It were the Zootopia socks Huaisang had given Mingjue for his birthday.
“Oh, so you’ve started stealing my socks now, too?” Mingjue laughed, that was a first. His socks had been safe until now. He saw Xichen’s ears turn red from where they peeked out from his hair, how adorable.
