Life in this nationalist profit geared world

it is daunting facing the reality of your history head on; its depressing to know the harsh, oppressive truth. 

Things haven’t really been in my favor lately; car repairs, school loans, tickets, deployment; the consequences of the dominating system of today. 

I cant go back to scraps.

My professor said today that since the moved from hunter gatherer to the agricultural ways of society there has yet to be a case of “civilization” going back. Is it impossible? 

Could I really be that dependable on this volatile way of life? Society has only “improved”... in technological advances (plow to tractor etc.) what about our ethics and our overall well being as humans. 

My mother says the only way to liberate me from these taunting questions is God. That He solves it all. 

Marx says that "The wretchedness of religion is at once an expression of and a protest against real wretchedness. Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world and the soul of a soulless condition. It is the opium of the people" 

So what now??? Oppression seems to be the way of life. That sucks. 

Just find comfort in something and stick to that until death but is there ever some satisfaction in knowing that your beliefs are the undeniable, uncontested truth??? Damn. For now, that will have to do. I will do the best with what I’ve got. Until then my fellow compatriots.

Babygurl did it! I'm so proud to call this beautiful, amazing, intelligent being my sister. She managed to get through college and it wasn't easy, but she never gave up. She stuck through it and now she is a chemical engineer, UCR alumni. I'm just amazed. Throughout all these years she's been there for me through thick and thin. Words can't even begin to explain the deep love I have for you, i'm so proud to be your sister! I'll never forget everytime you gave me your paleta when mine would fall on the ground and I'd start crying. And now you're doing the same for natalie.
